Maseru is the capital and largest city of Lesotho. It is also the capital of the Maseru District. Located on the Caledon River, Maseru lies directly on the Lesotho-South Africa border. Maseru is Lesotho's capital city with a population of approximately 253,000. The city was established as a police camp and assigned as the capital after the country became a British protectorate in 1869. When the country achieved independence in 1966, Maseru retained its status as capital. The name of the city is a Sesotho word meaning "red sandstones".

The restaurant is part of Lancers Inn Maseru but is open to the public.
Small cafe in the Pioneer Mall serving a limited menu of food and soft drinks. Great place to pop in for a coffee or snack although the place is looking somewhat tired and in need of a makeover. The staff are always warm, friendly and efficient.

The restaurant run by Lancers Inn in the main road in Maseru. This is a very good restaurant and the Steaks are excellent (specially pepper-monkeygland) The trout are from Lesotho highlands and are not to be missed!
We had eaten here a few years previously and wondered how it was faring. The restaurant had experienced a refurbishment, was well attended and standard of food was maintained. We had local trout and a steak - not rich or fancy - perfect for our needs.

Having dinner at Piri Piri was disapointing. It is suppose to be Portugese cuisine but seemingly has been diluted over the years to just an imitation of Portuguese food. Trinchado was not trinchado. Just pieces of steak with a brown sauce.

Had dinner with a few colleagues and associates. The beer was cold which is always a good start. The menu offered a great variety and we enjoyed some great starters and delicious main courses. Good value and good quality.

I recommend the bacon & blue cheese burger. An all time classic that can easily fill a hungry cyclists belly! If are a group make sure to call in advance to place your order. Otherwise enjoy a few chilled Maluti from the fridge. And just in case you come alone, don't worry there is always good company at Dougies Kitchen.

Came here for dinner after Reading happy reviews, but left fairly disappointed. The service was OK, the menu was good but the quality of the food was poor. We ordered the salmon pasta and the spare-ribs. The food came quick, but that's basically all we can say about it. The salmon pasta was bland: the only two flavours in the dish were garlic and salmon: no salt, no pepper, nothing. Could have been so much more! The spare-ribs were better taste-wise, but there was barely any meat on the ribs, not worth the money. Also, the fresh juice on the menu cart was actually just orange juice in a can, not really what you think of when you picture 'fresh juice'. We left both hungry and disappointed.

Honestly the place is very nice, the interior is clever, the food is always good and the service is fine as well,but...the order is very ofter screwed. Forgotten burger, wrong sause, late appetizer, late drinks...these are tiny but very annoying thing and usually basic requirements from a restaurant

Cappello Lesotho provides an entertaining dining experience which is steered by value and selection. The passion in Cappello can be felt as you walk in the door. The uniform and décor scream 'status' and the energy of the vibrant surroundings reverberate through every pore. It is in the FOOD.PASSION.PEOPLE
Cappello stands to its promises of a big franchise and even at a place like Maseru, you find the best of food and service right from the beginning till end.
Tucked in Maseru Mall overlooking the Mountains, there is outside and inside seatings to enjoy the view or get in if its too cold. Enthusiastic waitress / waiters who would take care of your requests with a smile.
I will always go here for food when i am in Maseru
