The museums of Lisbon celebrate the rich history and culture of this Portuguese capital city. The Maritime Museum is perfect for kids (and grown-ups!) who adore all things nautical, while the Casa-Museu Dr. Anastácio Gonçalves is a hidden gem of colorful artwork. To fully appreciate the city’s dramatic stone architecture you can take a guided walking tour, or customize your own tour, making sure to visit the Padrao dos Descobrimentos, the Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, and the UNESCO World Heritage site the Torre de Belem.

Praise there is aplenty for Come Prima, one of Lisbons best-loved traditional Italian restaurants. Being a bit tucked away on Rua Olival, an easy walk from the romantic Tapada das Necessidades Gardens, is part of the restaurants considerable charm. A reassuringly cosy atmosphere, lovely lighting, wooden tables and chairs and friendly staff - Come Prima hits all the right notes. Expect wonderfully simple Italian classics - tomato soup to tiramisu - freshly prepared with skill and care. Some diners have said the pasta and pizza are the best theyve ever had. Whats certain is Come Prima hand-make their pasta fresh, and bake their pizzas to perfection in a wood-fired oven. Nice wine list, too. Ask for a table upstairs where its cosiest.
Very nice even if you come alone. Full house and at least three tables were solo/one only, which makes you feel normal in a restaurant in Portugal which are used to groups. Waiters are ok. Should care more about those alone making suggestions but overall they are very efficient. I went for the house speciality - the starter Funghi Ripieni not brilliant so choose something else, but the burrata & tartufo nero pizza was excellent ... be ready for a saucy pizza (the cheese is very “melty”). Wine by glass is not that good option. If you come by your self try porto Tonic instead or go for the beer. Kids love pizza but I would not recommend this restaurant.. They offered Limoncello at the end... Wow... makes a difference. #byHPink

We stopped by for a quick lunch on the weekend. The place was crowded, so I recommend reservation. Staff is really nice, helpful and respectful. Restaurant offers a wide range of wine selection. Food was amazing. No comment. Will come back

More than 150 wines by the glass. Port wine flights. One of the best selections of portuguese cheeses, and charcuterie, combined in mixed boards. Handmade canned fish delights. Rare and old Port and Madeira wines collection, also by the glass.

Please note: this is a small and informal traditional wine bar with tapas of cheese and charcuterie that does NOT have any cooked meals; opens around 6pm and starts closing at 11pm, therefore the options breakfast/brunch and late night do not apply; closes on Mondays. Thank you.
Advance booking essential - if you are a walk in customer, you are likely to be disappointed!
If you've made your booking, then prepare to experience a truly original and enjoyable evening with superb hosts who are knowledgeable and friendly, with a great selection of wines and a tasty selection of small plates to compliment the wine.
The hosts are at pains to point out that this is a wine bar primarily, not a restaurant, so please don't judge it on the basis of your food experience (but what is served is more than acceptable!) - but as an experience for lovers of wine it is unmatched!

This small family restaurant is well worth the visit. The husband and wife team cook and host perfectly in their small, intimate restaurant.
It ain’t fancy but the food is excellent, freshly caught fish from the mornings market, prepared and seasoned simply cooked perfectly and served without fuss.
Can’t beat it. Better food than I have had in restaurants charging ten times as much.
6 people, two courses, plenty of wine - less than 150 euro. The very charming host wouldn’t allow me to add a tip, telling me that it is most important for his customers to enjoy their evening and have great food at great value. He’s a saint and deserves to earn more !

We had no expectations when we stopped in Augusto's for a quick lunch, and were blown away by the quality of the food and service in this simple little café. The meat and cheese plates were delicious, and the homemade ice-cream was amazing! The staff were friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Augusto's was a great find and we would definitely visit again!

A cosy little restaurant where you can eat portuguese dishes with a twist and petiscos (tapas). Open at lunch (12h30 - 15h) and dinner (19h30 - 23h)
Very pleasant and comfortable place. The owner is friendly and taklative and runs this place together with her husband who is outgoing as well. Food was amazing, tasty and nicely served.Just a pity they don´t take cards, but anyway, this place makes you feel like home so we didn´t mind such a detail.

After a restaurant in Brazil, João Carlos opened, in December 2014, a new space in Lisbon where he practice a Portuguese cuisine with Brazilian spices and a modern presentation. With only 18 seats, the decor is minimalist yet cozy, the space nice and homey and the open kitchen creates a dialogue and proximity between those who genuinely like food.
We found this highly rated restaurant not far from our hotel. Food was average. Asked for tap water but was told that they cannot serve tap water for "health and safety reasons" and "if an inspector did a spot visit we would be in trouble ". We accepted this and had bottled but queried it with the head water in our hotel who said "that is rubbish" !
It was very clean and servers were friendly but maybe it is resting on its laurels and has become complacent?!

Because those who seek Bairro Alto, seek tradition. It was in this neighborhood that was born the new gourmet shop Baco Alto. A world of aromas and flavors that blends with the life of people of ancient customs. Wines, Cheeses, Charcuterie, Canned and Tapas from around the country is what you can find in this establishment. Come and meet us!
First of all, let me say that while sitting on the bar and enjoying the great wine and cheese, I was planning to give bar a 5 star rating till something strange happend. On the table next to me a couple (German woman and Portuguese man) were sitting and the man of the couple did some really amazing card tricks I never saw in my live. Just like other people in the bar, In started a conversation with them. It seemed that the magician was a friend of the house because I saw him going behind the bar. To make my story short, after having a good conversation with them (also concerning how poor they were), they went to the barkeeper and told him something. When It asked for the bill, he tried me to bill me the food from magician and his girlfriend. I had to go and talked to him twice that it was not me who was going to pay their bill! To be clear he knows the magician! So ...good bar, good wine, good food, nice bartender but avoid the magician and his German girlfriend when they are in the house!!! :-)

During our stay in Lisbon, my husband & I had lunch here 3 times - it was that good! Nice, fresh food, great drinks and awesome hosts! The salads were fantastic and the daily lunch specials featuring soup (a super-tasty gazpacho), quiche and salad for only €5 was fab! Hosts were awesome too, very friendly and welcoming. It is a small place and has a fun atmosphere. and the Aperol Spritz are fantastic! Highly recommend!!
