Authentic Italian food at its best.
A relaxing and friendly family restaurant that proves that what matters is not silk napkins, but the excellence of cuisine.
It was not long before the beautiful whiffs of delicious food passing by made us imagined ourselves in a restaurant in Italy.
Each Antipasto we had was perfect and our main courses were very generous portions of perfectly seasoned Italian Cuisine. Yes food at its very best plus a good selection of wines. We never managed a sweet, but we welcomed the complimentary Limoncello.
The service was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful.
We left delighted by our fantastic experience and we will be taking family with children and friends with us next time.
Highly Recommended.

Village pub with locals bar, restaurant & bar dining, stylish bedrooms. Local produce, regular changing menu, real ales on tap
Had a nice meeting here with an old friend, its good to see its still here wit the demise of the pub industry. Good food, good cider in a typical English village setting, even a village pond. The staff and service were fine, the pricing...MoreThank you for your kind review. We work hard to give our customers a welcoming and relaxed experience at The Fox. We do hope to welcome you again in the future.

I went here having read a previous review about the takeaway offering gluten free options.
They will adapt most meals for you to a gluten free alternative on request. I had the chicken, beef and mushroom with boiled rice last night, tasted really good.
Will definitely be going back and keen to try more of the menu.
Food is quick. Payment is by cash only.

We are never disappointed when we eat at the Chilli Lounge. The food is delicious and beautifully prepared making it the best Indian we have been to. The staff are wonderful too; attentive and friendly. We visit often and everyone is always welcoming and good humoured. Thank you and see you later tonight for another scrummy meal

Three of us dined and had different meals and all were tasty with generous portions. Service was speedy and friendly and it was appreciated when the chef stopped on his way through the restaurant to check all was OK. We will definitely return and recommend.

this is one of the best Italian restaurants in the area
This is a wonderful gem in Baldock; a quaint restaurant serving wonderful Italian food by restauranteurs that really care about your experience.
I have had the opportunity to have many a great meal here but have not written a review until now. After casually flicking through many Tripadvisor reviews bursting with praise for this delightful place, I was slightly bemused to notice that there were some reviews left by a small minority that seemed to suggest that a rating of 1 out of 5 was appropriate. It was only after Reading the first few that I realised I was Reading the thoughts of people who clearly do not understand quality Italian cuisine and have little appreciation of the love and care that goes into the cooking and service of every plate here.
My recent meal consisted of a starter of elegant gnocchi in a rich, tasty mozzarella sauce. I followed this with beautifully cooked lamb cutlets that were bursting with flavour and accompanied with fresh vegetables and sautéed potatoes. Although at this point in the evening I was quite full and certainly contented, I also managed to squeeze in a slice of something exquisite that involved chocolate and amarertto.
If you want cheap, bland, vaguely Italian food then you are probably better off with something like a Pizza Express. However, if you want a dining experience that will fill your belly and leave your taste buds tingling, and you understand that good service, quality ingredients and excellent cooking costs more than £10, then you would be well advised to try Il Forno. You would also be advised to book in advance to avoid disappointment and should be prepared to accept that once you have tried the flavoursome pasta dishes, the expertly cooked meat dishes or the tasty seafood, you will probably want to come back for more.

We wanted a pleasant restaurant to have lunch with my cousin and her husband who were celebrating their Diamond Wedding Anniversary. Lyttons turned out to be the perfect choice. A great location - quiet countryside yet just minutes from the A1(M).
A lovely and spacious old historic building. Proper courteous service (Raphael out waiter a true professional). Excellent food - and what value! Three courses for just £20. Amazing.

Chilli B offers a unique menu with imaginative food, freshly prepared just for you. No pre-packaging allowed here. The new Lounge is chilled out in a beautiful restored shop, just off the market square in Hitchin. Please note that we do NOT proclaim we are a restaurant but we care about service and good food.
Every time I visit the service and quality is first class. There is plenty of choice and they taste great every time. Well worth a visit.

Visited on a rainy Saturday for lunch and what a find ! The food was amazing and really tasty. We had the larger antipasti board for starters between 3 - excellent.
Main courses we had a selection - meatballs which were excellent, patatas bravas, paella, stew and tortilla - all were very good
A lovely bottle of Rioja finished off an excellent meal - would definitely recomment and we would return
