Montreux Palace is just the place to be! Its all about luxury here! I loved the room facilities, restaurants, and the entire layout - but whats most beautiful there is the view!! You can't imagine how divine it is! Staying here is like you are living in a fairytale for few days! Montreux itself if truly heaven on earth, having on top of that such hotel with sip of wine and great meal..... all you need! Im hearty recommending this stunning luxury property!

The Museum is situated in a historical building in the old town of Montreux and it is less than 10 minutes walking distance from the main train station. Founded in the early years of the worldwide known Montreux Jazz Festival The Museum has been the place to be for many internationally known stars like Mick Jagger and David Bowie to name but a few. The setting is traditionally Swiss with an authentic atmosphere. In summer a peaceful court invites families and friends to enjoy a meal in a relaxing environment. The Museum accepts groups of up to 150 people and it is the ideal place for family or company events, but it is also a romantic place if you'd like to spend a privileged moment with your loved one. The Museum honours the Swiss cuisine with many different cheese and meat fondues of the highest quality. You could also try their famous' Charbonnade', a charcoal grill on which you grill your meat according to your own taste! Most of the menus are served with the outstanding potato gratin made with chef's secret ingredients (this includes 10 different Swiss cheeses). We look forwards to welcome you soon !
Having spent 10 days in Switzerland and France we ate a lot of cheese and fondue. This was our favorite. The restaurant is quaint/cozy. The staff is helpful. Like most restaurants in Switzerland, they do not rush you (so at times it may feel like...MoreDear Allval Thank you for your review! We hope to see you again at our restaurant! Was an absolute pleasure greeting you. With respect, Restaurant le Museum Team

An incredible line-up of traditional and house cocktails envied by many in Switzerland! Offering simple, fun gourmet eating coupled with a wholehearted, unpretentious welcome, Funky Claude's Bar is a great place to drop by or hang out late into the night, whether you're local or just passing through the Riviera. Faithful to the world of Festival founder Claude Nobs, the decor and choice of materials invite you to settle in and chill out for an unforgettable moment at the best live venue in town.
On our first visit to Montreaux we came here with good friends (as it was highly recommended). A Saturday evening, we arrived early while it was quiet which enabled us to take a table near the entertainment. We spent the entire evening enjoying fantastic food (the burgers were amazing!), service and great music. The bar was full by the time we left late on and the atmosphere was lovely, really welcoming. Regis in particular, with his unique passion for his bar and knowledge of whisky made it a memorable experience. We will return when time permits.

Le Bouveret is located at the far east end of the Geneva lake and offers great family atmosphere with Aqua Park, a sand beach, miniature train, pear, and many other activities nearby.
La Taverne de la Tour is nicely located in that charming little village, close to the lake. Unfortunately, like often with touristic places, owners take advantage of the location but tend to run minimal service. Food was very standard. Filets de perche were ok but sauce was very standard, and gambas were ok, but not exceptional, sauce was missing.
Waiter was too "pushy"... trying to make us "spending money" instead of "spending a good time". That day was pretty hot and we ordered a nice rosé wine, which came in a bucket with no ice in it. What's the point? No wine menu was offered. Ice cream was so small... and overall price far too high for what was offered.
Great for a drink but don't go there for lunch or dinner.

We were looking for a dinner spot and this restaurant was recommended. A tiny, charming restaurant that looks to be filled with locals, we approached cautiously. The waitress explained that they were best known for their . . . horse. My husband decided to give it a try. He loved it. Our sons gave it a try and decided it tasted like steak. I had the perch which was delicious. I recommend this quaint, authentic, Swiss spot. (One note: all three guys who tried horse had vivid, crazy dreams that night. Not sure what to make of that - ha.)

The GT bar is on a road that just passes through this small village.
The decor is simple yet modern.
The menu is almost fusion with Thai tartar, and tapas.
Just get to the main courses.... BEEF and lots of it, three sizes of beef, all served on a sizzling granite slab. You cook it yourself, you get the apron to protect your clothes too!
beef and french fries, sauces and some veg. The Beef is so tender its unbelievable. I went 3 times in 10 days. You can also have horse steak too.... Go on its great!
during the summer there is a Terrace, and thursday night its all you can eat king prawns.

Visited after a good hike and thought we may have been a bit underdressed but everything was fine. Extremely friendly service, food was quick and delicious. It's Swiss Restaurant prices, but probably as good value as you will find in the area.

We had had a disappointing morning trying to find a place to park on the Swiss side of the lake and came across Saint Gingolph, the first stop on the French side. It was now late for lunch. the town is small with just a few restaurants. We wandered up and down the main street and decided we might go into the Chinese one. However, they were full and although there was a table, we were told we would have to wait at least half an hour for our meal. We crossed the road to this Thai one. We were greeted warmly even though it was late for lunch although their sign said until 3.p.m. It was quite full and two lots of people arriving after us were told it was too late.
Our meal was served promptly and all three courses were absolutely delicious.
The staff were friendly and accommodating, the toilet clean and positioned on the same floor as the restaurant tables and the view of the lake was magnificent. We weren't rushed and felt very refreshed and a sense of well-being after we finished. We noticed that there were regulars so it is a popular place. Well worth a visit.
