For a restaurant that is sometimes touted as one of the best in Larnaka, we were surprised to be so underwhelmed.
Certainly, the ambience was cosy and characterful but though the restaurant was not particularly busy when we visited, service was erratic although supervised by the owner. I found the menu uninspiring, so I chose the starter and main from the limited offering of specials but they transpired to be no more than acceptable home cooking.
As this was our first restaurant stop on our first day in Cyprus, there was always a chance that Art Cafe 1900 represented the high-end of a very mediocre restaurant scene on the island but after 7 days of frequently eating well and often outstandingly well, it became clear that this establishment is simply highly overrated.
That said, the wine was good.

It doesn't happen alot, but it happened today. I haven't got a clue how this place has gotten such glowing reviews. We drove 30min to this restaurant based on these reviews, to be utterly disappointed.
Worst place we ate at during our one week stay. By far. The place was completely empty aside from us (on a saturday night), should have warned us but people eat late here so we weren't too worried. Noone else came.
We didn't order a full meze as we didn't want to fight through the traditional mountain of food. No problem for the owners, they'd give us a smaller selection.
Meat completely dry, some parts looked like they had fallen into the coals. Couldn't even try the bacon because it was burned through and through. Simply charcoal. Lets remind you that we were the only clients ... so it's really a matter of no respect for your products nor for your guests. The fries we got as last plate were disguesting: greasy, sloppy, definitely not fresh.
Can't recommend this to anyone. Take the good reviews with a shovel of salt. Owners are friendly enough, they just can't cook. Worst of all: paid 30 euro's for maybe 6-7 meze dishes?!

The restaurant is a very nice place to had a good dinner. Please note that the open times in TripAdvisor are not correct.
We ordered the Meze and it was an amazing choice of different dishes :)
We didn't taste everything, too much food, but you can take away the rest.

Seriously. I, we, have eaten at Lambros many, many times over the years. They do what they do exceptionally well. I tend to choose haddock. Niki is a cod person. As Niki is gluten intolerant, they grill the cod, unbattered, for her. I enjoy my fish in batter and so we can both have what we like. Simple and delicious.

We discovered this place in our small but nice trip around Cyprus. After being in an other 2 italian restaurants in Larnaka (which we didn't like at all), we decided to give the last chance to try some decent italian food in town...we ended up in this place and from the first moment it was like being in our country! I couldn't believe they have fresh pasta!!! The food we had was simply amazing and soo rich of flavours! The family that owns the place and the all staff are very friendly...such of nice people. Ah, the chefs are even all italian. Thank u so much for the nice experience guys we'll come back next year to see u again!!

The Aquarium Bar is a Boat Bar-Cafe and Restaurant, permanently moored in the Marina in Larnaca. We serve fresh Local Cuisine, Quality Beverages and a beautiful view. We are open for walk in guests or by arrangements for Private Parties to celebrate any special occasion, for groups of any size. You can find us on the opposite the Sun Hall Hotel on the OLD COLONIAL PIER, Last boat on the right. Thank you -Aquarium Crew
This restaurant / bar is on a boat in the marina and is a great setting for an evening meal as the sun goes down and all the twinkly lights appear around the town. The food is limited in choice but well prepared. Service is slow but the food is cooked fresh in the small galley on board and who wants to rush a fine experience.

Our specially selected Cypriot mezes combined with our excellent traditional surroundings will lead you to a unique journey through time gone by. There is a story behind the name... 'ΤO KAZANI'(caldron)... It all started at the end of 19th century in this Historical House with the procedure of distilling Zivania which lasted until the mid of 20th century... During the building of the structure has been found this Historical Caldron with the rest of the tools and with much care we have assembled and till now saving it with care...
Great choice for those who like tasty grilled Cyprus meze at a cosy environment with excellent service. The big smile of Mr Modestos the owner and his family, along with Andreas the chef's excellent cooking skills made our night so pleasant. We had our 4 months old baby with us and for that reason i have to say a big bravo to the tavern for its no-smoking-allowed policy. We definitely recommend Kazani and we are planning visiting it again on a Friday/Saturday when music is on.

It is a very relaxing space to meet friends and a enjoy a good meal.. The food variety is great but salads and wraps are the most favourable..It's also good during summer season because of it's location but also for breakfast and lunch in winter season when is not to cold to sit at the outdoor lane..Very polite young people work there and the service is one of the best I had in Larnaca.

The smell of jasmine and the ceiling fans cooled the hot July nights and Nicos's imaginative food with top quality materials made us go back in a few days. We are so happy we found this place, I think there is nothing like it in the area! Having being a restaurant owner myself I can appreciate a gem when I find it. We consider ourselves regulars now! Don't miss it, even if you are not staying in the area. It is worth the effort to go to Oroklini. The menu is varied and you can find a great variety ranging from a 45 items meze, to great salads and mouthwatering starters, as well as great Deserts!

Maqam Al-Sultan represents a culture. Lebanese cuisine epitomizes the best of the Mediterranean diet. The heart-healthy ingredients such as fresh vegetables, grains, herbs and spices, lamb, beef, fish, poultry, yogurt and olive oil make a meal replete with robust earthy flavors. At Maqam Al-Sultan we immensely love, enjoy, respect and appreciate our food. Our Lebanese chefs cook the way mama cooks at home. When you fancy a real meal, fine wine, a cup of coffee or tea, to smoke a nargileh or when you're in the mood to entertain yourself, your friends and loved ones, welcome to Maqam Al-Sultan!
Went for lunch and split a baba ganoush and hummus among 2. Best hummus I've ever had served in very big portion. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Very customer oriented.
