...having lunch in the sun while watching the giraffes and other beautiful animals walking around in front of you is an experience of its own...the food was ok, portions big (a lot of chicken on that Caesar's salad), taste good but not extraordinary with the exception of the Cremer brûlée as dessert.
Will definitely be back to enjoy the views in the afternoon while enjoying a nice drink...

We went to this restaurant as it was chosen by my brother who knows the owner of the restaurant very well. So I am not sure if the service and all around it is experienced by other guests the same way. Reading through some of...MoreThank you very much for being our guests. And thank you for your compliments. That makes us proud. Kind regards Miro

Excellent local cuisine. Unfortunately November is "Goose Month"....and unless you really like goose...that is about all you will find. Gave it high marks because it is quaint, does offer local foods and local beers.

Gasthaus zum Feldberg is one of the more flavorful restaurants I've been too. At this one I had the Hokkaido kurbis soup which was creamy and delicious. The black Lebanese garlic bread was also fantastic. The service was very friendly and welcoming, feeling like a family owned restaurant. I highly recommend Reading here if you're in the area, you can't go wrong. Safe travels!

We love this place and every time we visit friends in Germany we try and go for dinner on this trip it wasn't possible so we went for breakfast.
Food was great , portion more than adequate and we had a lovely morning relaxing with friends. We did have a reservation and they had set a beautiful table up for us outside with blankets, but unfortunately even with blankets it was a bit too cold.
At approx 15 euros pp including tip I feel it was very good value.
We will definitely be going back.

I attended a business dinner here at the former house of the composer Felix Mendelsohn. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. we had some starters and I took the monkfish for main course. I was not disapointed, either by the high quality of the fish and the way it was prepared. High marks for that and for sure a nice place for getting fish in the area.

We ate here since the restaurant at the villa was closed. Overall an excellent venue with a special emphasis on the service.
The views of Frankfurt when dining al fresco are wonderful. The menu is very German but very classical at the same time. We both enjoyed our meals thoroughly. The chef manages to balance his approach nicely and doesn't overdue it one bit. I had the ubiquitous Weiner schnitzel and it was divine.
Excellent wine list and whiskey list as well.
Worth a visit especially if you'd like to dine outside and have a classical menu.

We liked this little restaurant a lot. The food was very reasonably priced and the atmosphere buzzing.
Pizzas ranged from € to €9.50 with most around 6 or 7 Euro mark and they are baked over wood in their pizza oven. (We didn't have pizza but they looked very nice).
The same price for pasta dishes, all the pasta is home-made from scratch and there is also a specials menu which is slightly more expensive but looked delicious.
We had an enormous side salad that included large chunks of tuna for only €4.50.
As the name suggest, this is a family run business and the owner has a real drive. The place was buzzing with locals, the only bad thing is that there is not too many seats so if eating at the weekend, I'd book first to make sure there is space. Portions are large and service is always with a smile.
All in all, well worth it, particularly if you are travelling on a shoe string. Give it a try!

Great menu choices, wine and beer selection was fine, very nice presentation of the food, delicious flavor, and everything seemed freshly prepared. We ate relatively early (6:30ish), so Reservations were not needed. But if you want to eat later (8:00ish), most tables, indoors and outside, were full, even on weekdays. So Reservations might be a good idea if you are dining "European-style."
