Just three hours from Bangkok, Ko Samet is a favorite weekend beach getaway for expats and locals alike. However, most tourists head further south for their island breaks. Most of the island is protected as part of Khao Laem Ya – Mu Ko Samet National Park, making it clean and relatively unspoiled. The island offers a variety of resorts, from the quiet and family-orientated to those catering to the party-till-dawn crowd.

Home-cooked food. " It's all about sauce".
Maybe not anymore,
Will not come again for the cheese burger (180 baht), lack of taste,
Fries (90 baht)are Ok
The smoothies (105 baht) are really good, mango particulary.
Be careful on your bill, pay only what you order, Roger can do mistake, no paper with what you order

Food was standardly good, better than nice.. but not mind blowing by any means..
Staff were attentive and quick despite there being usually many, many people...
Food also came out in a timely manner...
The big hit is the fireshow which is quite impressive! Arrive a bit early for good seats, but the Seating is in a way everyone can nearly see...
Worth spending an evening eating here.

After leaving Red Ginger for being ignored for 30 minutes, we expected an average meal at jeps but were pleasantly surprised.
Ordered the butter chicken which came with chapati and Daal and also tandoori marinated chicken with rice. The butter chicken was amazing, best I’ve had travelling south east Asia.
The service was good too, i can imagine they get very busy there which is why some people might not have experienced the same service. Fire dancers on the beach front for a bit of entertainment too.
The bbq looked great too which we are going back to try tonight!

This relaxed casual restaurant offers over 300 items on their menu right on the beach. I ordered some chicken wings \ Chicken Pad Thai and shared some mixed vegetables with my Thai girlfriend who wanted to order crab and was told there was none available. Shortly crab appeared with the rest of the available seafood in ice right beside our table (my girlfriend was not impressed). She ended up ordering a prawn dish and Papayang Salad which she hardly touched, I tried the prawns they were overcooked. The dishes I ordered I really enjoyed but unfortunately the experience was not the same for my girlfriend. If you have ever been to an island you will notice they run on island time so service is a bit slower. At dusk we also got bombarded by waves of moths.

We had a few meals here, as well as drinks several nights. Good cheap bar, nice location on the beach, great simple family-run place. Food was alright, the Thai food our choice, service was terrific, nice folks. By day they play good beach music. And their wifi is probably the best on the beach. Be alert for dogs and naked babies.

It's nearly two years since we were last on Koh Samet, but Banana Bar was the place of choice for breakfast on the first morning.
It is on the right hand side of the road as you walk from Nadam Pier across to Sai Kaew Beach. It is easily recognisable because a large plastic banana hangs over the entrance
It is a family business, and somehow the mother manages to offer breakfast in between running her daughter to school on her motorbike.
Service is slow, but worth the wait, because the eggs, bacon, sausage, freshly squeezed orange juice and large mug of coffee are exactly as you ordered them.

Samed Villa Restaurant serves Pizza, BBQ, Thai and European cuisine as well as home-made cakes on one of the most romantic bay on Samet Island. You can choose to dine on the beach or on our beautiful lush tropical garden Terrace with sea-view. We are well-known as a reasonable-priced resort providing good food quality and service as well as best European cuisine on the island!
Second holiday on Samed Island and second time at Samed Villa Restaurant. Food was ok, fusion Thai food, good for tourist, not that autentic for Thai. Service very slow, to order drink (water and glas) took more than 15min. Got wrong food again, but without discussion the food was replaced. Wonderful place directly on the beach. If it wasn't for the location, we wouldn't have been here the second time.
