Went to the Ashoka Brasserie for Christmas Dinner with my mum, husband and our two children aged 20 and 19 years old. Can’t fault anything, from the moment we arrived Meekie and staff greeted us and made us all welcome. Service was fantastic considering they were extremely busy and food was delicious. A traditional Turkey meal was on the menu but my family and I opted for curries all round, as we love the Ashoka. Well done Meekie and staff, we hope to book again for next Christmas, however, we will visit again well before that! See you soon, Alison

This is an excellent Coffee, Tea, Pastry, Sandwich, and Soup café, in downtown Kirkintilloch, Scotland. Need to visit the shops in Kirkintilloch ? ... stop here first, before heading out on your shopping excursion. I enjoyed a Hazelnut Latte, (top notch flavor), and a maple and almond Danish. The quality was very good. My wife enjoyed a pot of tea. This is a cozy little café, with hours from 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM. They also offer take-away with the same quality. I highly recommend!

We ordered A takeaway and were told it would be two hours for deliver or 45 minutes for collection. We opted for collection and turned up at the designated time only to find around twenty disgruntled customers already waiting. Our meal eventually came out a further 45 minutes later.
I understand Saturday night issues however the business is losing good will in treating their customers in this way.
The starters and main meals were very good however the Nan breads and chapattis we ordered could have resoled our shoes. It’s a shame the small things like sundries can spoil the overall enjoyment of the meal.

We visited family nearby on Saturday and decided to order a takeaway.
We ordered a range of starter and main course dishes, including the Mussel starter and a King Prawn main. Each of them delicious and accompanied by huge naan.
We would definitely choose this restaurant when we visit again!

Visited for lunch recently with husband, daughter and her partner. The service was excellent and there was a great ambience about the place. We all ate something different from the menu and all enjoyed what we had, portion sizes were good also. Would definitely recommend.
