I totally recommend this restaurant 100% for the variety of tofu dishes and for their distinct atmosphere. Yes, it is a chain restaurant, but not all locations have the old charm and ambience like this one has. Highly recommended destination for those especially on a business trip in the Tokyo/Yokohama area only for work and don't have much time for play, and want to experience something other than the busy city life.
Actually, tofu dishes are a type of cuisine here in Japan, but this place has the added old charm of Japan, feels like you are in another world.
It is also the perfect place to go if you are a vegetarian traveling in Japan and having a hard time finding places to dine during your stay.
However, if you are not a huge fan of tofu, don't worry either.
Tofu is not the "boring tofu" that you probably have in mind, plus they have some meat, seafood too in some of their course menus!
But it isn't all that cheap either, but I would say it is totally worth the experience.
Last note, to get here by train, take the Denentoshi Line and get off at Saginuma Station.
From there, go to the south exit, you will see a Tokyu supermarket in front of you.
Walk up the hill? to your right, you can't miss it, it will be across the street. It is only a short 3 minute walk from the station.

We stopped by this little restaurant after Reading previous reviews. I must say I am glad we did. The gyoza were delicious and crispy. We don't know Japanese so we used Google translate to find out what each dumpling was filled with. We ordered about 5 or 6 different ones and split among 3 of us. The total price was about $30 USD. The staff was quick to take and deliver our order. I would go back to this place if I lived near it. I highly recommend it.

Taste so good !! I enjyed lunch of TONKATU. There is just counter table with 12 seats? You prepared for the waiting line at least 30 minutes. If you are Japanese bussiness man, you should go there at opening time. You should be staisfied with lunch. It is worth wating a long time.

You get a huge bowl of ramen for only 600 yen. Probably more than enough for a typical Japanese but for a Westerner it may be just right. Of course you can request the amount of veggies and garlic at no added cost. Just hope you're not planning to meet anyone afterwards:p
But don't expect too much! The ramen isn't the greatest quality but nonetheless satisfactory. Try skipping a meal or two. It would be MORE satisfying =)

Simply the best food in Kawasaki. Been a big fan of this place for almost 20 years. Charcoal grilled Beef tongue and soup made from the tail, That's all they serve. Sendai city is famous for this food but if you don't have time to go all the way north, I highly recommend to visit this place. 5 minutes walk from Kawasaki train station, inside of MUZA concert hall. Also don't forget to order grape fruit sour, this will knock you out. By the way, they don't take reservation, so be prepared to wait out side of the store for a while.

We have buffets for lunch
I have never had a bad meal in Japan irrespective of the type of cuisine. This place was no exception.
A large group of us had many really good appetizers and several excellent thin crust pizzas here. The service was very good.
The wine list is bit sparse and you need to buy the most expensive bottles if you want something good

焼肉。
Just before take-off from Japan, a last meal in a Japanese restaurant had to be done. Sometimes, it is difficult to find a good place to eat in an airport. The Yakiniku Champion restaurant offers a large choice of Japanese meats. Personally, I took the Bibimbap and it was excellent (the meat into the bibimbap was nice). The prices are also very reasonable.

A cheap, order-by-ticket ramen-style place, but not like a family-run ramen shop. Fast food, but indifferent broth, noodles, and ingredients (tough gobo, chewy chicken). Often a line to get in, however, esp. for those not wanting a full meal or a cold bento box.
