I had only some meals in Omesha Beach, but I have to say; food was excellent and service if possible, even better.
The owner arranged everything after one word, travel,.transportation, meals etc.
The attitude for service and help came directly from heart, and was very, very pleasent.

Located on the unspoilt beach of Kandakuliya in Kalpitiya, Welle Wadiya specialises in fresh seafood and local Sri Lankan cuisine. All our food is freshly prepared by the resident Chef using locally sourced ingredients. As well as his expertise in Sri Lankan cuisine, the Chef has a wealth of experience to cater for international palates. The charming restaurant specialises in fresh, locally sourced seafood, and the famous Kalpitiya crabs are a regular feature in our diverse menu. Meals can be taken inside the ocean fronted restaurant or Al Fresco style on the beach. Beach BBQs are also a regular feature in the evenings at Welle Wadiya.
Not too sure whether this can be called a restaurant as they prioritise catering to in-house guests. We wanted to have dinner here but they had their hands full that day. They did however try to whip up something for us but as what the chef could manage didn't appeal to us, we opted to only have a fresh (but kinda pricey) fruit juice instead.

If you wish to eat a home cooked "Rice and Curry" then you need to come for either Lunch or dinner. Pre ordering is essential as only fresh food items are prepared.
On a special order, sea food BBQ is also served right by the lagoon under the starts and in candle light.

Arrive without a booking which wasn't the problem as they had space. Very nice staff, water served, friendly conversation, nice surroundings. 1 other family already seated, ordered dinner (a couple of staters and mains for the adults and mains (pasta based) for the kids. 40mins later the starters arrived (to be fair the waiter did tell us it would be 30mins). Then 40 mins later the mains arrived. So the kids had to wait over an hour for their pasta with cheese and spaghetti bolognese. Incredibly expensive, which I don't mind paying, if it was great. But it wasn't, and the wait made it even worse. If you want to eat there and you're not staying in the hotel its best to pre-order (which I gather all the rest of the diners did), then you should be fine.

Pizza, fresh pasta, sandwiches, snacks, milkshakes, smoothies and more. All fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Fresh grilled fish and seafood under request.
Getting there was a bit of a nightmare because we seemed to have taken the least car-friendly route but that was Google Maps being unhelpful and nothing at all to do with the cafe, which was fantastic. As we lazed there for some time, we had two types of pasta and a pizza, two types of coffee, a milkshake and a newly concocted drink. Everything was very tasty, portions were generous and nothing took too long. The cafe is simple but comfortable.

Kalpitiya Baobab Lagoon Lodge is situated right in front of Kalpitiya Lagoon which makes it the ideal base to relax or take part in various eco, nature and adventure activities. The lodge boasts of three bedrooms with attached bathrooms. Sri Lankan and western delicacies are freshly cooked in our kitchen by our cook
We went to Bao Bab lagoon lodge throug a longer tour, for One Night.
The room is large with a bed and a fan - an outdoor, but nice toilet. You are placed in beautiful surroundings with the locals. You Will eat fresh fish , which is catch in the morning. The trips we went on were the most exciting of the entire stay. We went to local Islands, saw dolphins and bird safari.
At the evening the host made a bonfire, where we had our late meal.
The host is so kind and speak good english. He gives very good service and makes you feel very welcome!
It is definitly worth a visit if you want the local exspirience of af fishingtown in Sri Lanka.

We have a chilled space. Nice vibes and generous portions. We also have a bar. We are famous for the Friday night BBQ. Rs. 2000 for a huge spread. For outside guest, its important that you make a reservation.
I was spending a 3 day holiday and got the chance to experience the best variety of food for each meal.
The restaurant is clean and the food spread well with variety.
The planning and execution of the meals should be well appreciated.
The food will never run out and re-fills are on the way within few minutes giving the guest peace of mind and to enjoy the meal at leisure.
In addition to the buffet spread, there was a corner area where omelette, bulls-eye, scrambled eggs were made upon guest request free of any additional charge.
And on top of that there was a seafood, pork and sausage barbecue session on one night and it was amazingly tasty.
Water, tea, coffee is free flow all day and night giving anyone the option to have whenever they feel like refreshing themselves.
I loooooooooooove this concept since for most of us a tea or coffee is required at different times of the day.
I would be visiting again soon to experience this great restaurant with ample variety for everyone.
Keep up the good work Dilsiri and the team.....!!!

This recently opened restaurant at Nuraicholai on Kalpitiya road serves good and authentic Sri Lankan cuisine and i recommend the Trip Advisor community to try their lunch and its worth for money. They have added pizza counter which is usually opened in the evening hours. So be at Sun Set safari for your meals and enjoy the same,
