We love Indian food and chose this restaurant based on the reviews. The ambiance is indeed quite spectacular but the food did not live up to our expectations. The dal was too salty for our taste and my chicken vindaloo was quite bland although the boned thigh meat was tender and well prepared. Stephanie had one of the lamb curry dishes. Lamb is difficult to get right and the lamb was indeed very tender but the sauce didn’t really do justice to the meat. This might have all been forgivable except our glasses of Prosecco were flat and not particularly good. The menu lists a number of Prosecco cocktails. One wonders if they disguise a not very good quality wine. If you love curry go to the Bella Vita a few minutes walk away instead. It’s much better.

In a fantastic location above the Lake Fuschl, hidden between trees and Mountains lies the Sheraton Fuschlsee-Salzburg Hotel Jagdhof with its restaurant Jagdhof. Enjoy regional delicacies in our Jagdhofstuben to your heart's content, where fresh game dishes, typical Austrian delicacies, as well as whole smoked trout and char are served from the in-house Schloss Fuschl Fishery.

Family-owned, Michelin-rated - very special restaurant a bit outside the city - but definitely worth the taxi trip. The location looked beautiful - though we only got to see it at night under a blanket of snow. Would love to go back in warmer weather. There were two seasonal tasting menus on offer - each priced at ~100 Euros (not including wine, alcohol). Everything was delicious - we especially loved the soup medley. Service was very accommodating and attentive.

Really cute interiors, went because they had pourover coffee but their technique left something to be desired. The single origin coffee looked great on paper but the brew was a little over-extracted.

The DaxLueg is a perfect location for events of all kinds. Noisy wedding parties, cheerful birthday parties and family celebrations in a private setting. We also organizes company events as well as events of associations. Even for company-internal conferences and workshops two modern equipped, air-conditioned conference rooms are available. In the midst of the idyllic nature, working here becomes a pleasure!
We visited this restaurant for my wife's birthday it was a recommendation from Rick Steve's...What views the drive up the 3 km road to the top is great surrounded by forest and when you reach the top you get wonderful views of Salzburg and surrounding Mountains..If booking an evening meal I would recommend that you visit before dark to take in the views..take notice of the cows and there large bells on there necks also in the fields below. The food and service was marvelous we could not fault it ,the waitress we had was real good ,it's the first time any of us had been greeted with a handshake welcome in a restaurant before . Even if u don't eat here ( they do breakfast to) then just go for the drive up for those views.

The place is quite hard to find since it is located off major roads, so make your you have studied the directions on their website. When you reach the small restaurant you will be rewarded by a cozy place with a nice view and delicious food. The owners put a lot of effort into small details that make you stay very special.
If you are searching for a place for a romantic dinner you have found it. The offer of different Fondues and other specialties leave nothing to be desired. (The menu can be found on the website as well)

We used recommendations from this site and as luck would have it, the restaurant was very close to our hotel. We were delighted with the food, the wine and the service. The younger waitresses had trouble with English but the owner's wife has enough charm and English to make up for it. We both speak German but the menu is hand written and needs some explanation. Not the cheapest meal we've had but the best on our trip so far.

We visited on a summer's evening and were very glad to catch the setting sun's rays on the towering cliffs behind the hotel. We were also glad we'd reserved, as it was full to bursting. Our party enjoyed the attentive service in the traditional decor, and the wide menu of traditional dishes. There's a good choice of fish, steaks and schnitzels, and we tested them to the full - the wine list of good too. We enjoyed possibly the best ever Schnitzel Cordon Bleu and Zwiebelrostrbraten, and the Rheinankerfilet too... We wish we lived nearby as it would become a regular haunt! Not expensive, either.
