A city trapped in time, Havana captures the imagination like no other. Faded glamour meets careful colonial-era reconstruction with a backdrop of irresistible color. Walk El Malecón, the walkway bordering the ocean; visit Old Havana and the Catedral de San Cristóbal; and listen for salsa music, open-air bazaars and parties that last all night.

Cuban cuisine, fusioned with the best selection of internacionals dishes.
I spent 8 days in Havana. We found this great gem on one of our walks . It was so good that we ate there 3 times. The service is fantastic, we got to know our servers Marcos & Allan . Attention to detail and always happy to serve and explain the menu . Our host Morgan was always there to great us and make sure we were being looked after .
The sangria is very good as well as the mojito . The menu is very extensive. We always had the ceviche and the amazing salads. All came out like artwork . The portions are large and you can share several dishes . A pleasant surprise was the pizza . I found the entire menu was great and the desserts exceptional. I will be back for sure .

...not some mysterious place at all, but a truly wonderful Paladar in a beautiful setting. Excellent restaurant in central Havana in a truly wonderful setting. The streets may be lively and dusty but behind that large green door you will find one of the nicest restaurants at least that we have experienced, in Havana.

There's a reason Habana 61 is rated in the top three best on Trip Advisor. Truly exceptional food, drinks, ambiance, staff, and decor. It's such a pleasure dining here.
They start with high-quality ingredients, toss in a ton of creativity, and present the dishes beautifully without one bit of pretentiousness. The fish ceviche was so fresh, I'm positive it came off the boat this morning. The octopus carpaccio was handled perfectly, sublime in its deliciousness. And the taro root soup is a specialty not to be missed whether you *think* you like taro or not ;)
All the main dishes we tried were equally yummy and we can't stop thinking about the guava cheese desert that was incredibly unique, light, refreshing and different than anything you've ever tasted (in a good way!).
Can't speak highly enough about the great people who work here and the service they provide. Special thanks to Jose for taking such good care of us!
See you soon & Best Wishes,
Joe & Lee Ann

On our last night in Havana on March 13th, we, a group of four couples, asked for a local restaurant with good atmosphere and food. The Opera was the first recommendation. It is located in a neighbor where many of the homes are in varying stages of rebuilding. I must admit we wondered about the restaurant location. We were very surprised. The atmosphere was very comfortable. There was art work on the walls and pleasant patio available for eating. The food was excellent we had appetizers, fresh fish and shared the desserts. Our server was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. We would definitely return!

Simple white washed walls - a very clean look - an exception to the normal Spanish decor style.
Lots of Sous -vides options. Between us all we had Lobster, beef risotto as mains plus starters. All great. Service bright and efficient . About 60 Cucs ahead with wine and drinks - say £50.

Went there with a friend and we ordered two pastas. One with camarones with safrán and one with seafood, clams and more. Within 15 minutes came Two BIG dishes with delishes al dente pasta with nice oil on top. It was to much for both of use so we asked if we could take home. So after paying for our cocktails and the food we went of for 35 cuc. Not bad at all.

What a great restaurant. Hard to believe this gem existed based on the entrance. Chef Ivan and his staff/family prepared a magnificent meal for our group. One of the highlights of my trip with Steve Anchell Workshops. I just can't say enough about this place. So much good food in Cuba, and this was right near the top for me.Photo of restaurant entrance below.

We had an excellent meal of octopus salad and lobster here, tasty, service is quick (unlike a lot of places in Cuba), the cocktails are delicious and it has a rooftop Terrace. We didn't eat on the Terrace as the 1st floor was actually much cooler and after a hot days walking, we wanted cool!! Recommended.

Great coffee, great breakfasts, great sandwiches and light meals made with the best fresh seasonal ingredients we can source. Our sourdough bread is made from scratch on site. We grind the coffee beans when we're about to brew your coffee, not before. We care. Some say our mojitos are the best in Havana.. ditto our coffee.. Come and decide for yourself.
We had breakfast here almost every day for our week in Havana. Many gluten-free and vegetarian options. Friendly and helpful staff. Bright and cheerful ambience. Never had to wait long for a table even if it was busy. Loved the breakfast platter, which included toast with eggs, tomatoes. cucumber (avocado when in season), and yummy yucca hashbrowns, with the option to add cheese and/or bacon. Excellent coffee and freshly made beet/pineapple/ginger juice. They even let my partner take home some yoghurt for me when I was sick from food poisoning (from a different restaurant!).
