My family and I dined here, amazing food, value for money for sure. Friendly owner. Great service. Look on trip advisor for address details, well worth a visit for either lunch or dinner. All Cantonese dishes recommended

After one night stay on a cruise in halong bay, the tour company arranged us to have lunch in this restaurant. It was packed with people when I was there. The food was absolutely fantastic, big portion even for a table of 8-9 people. (Around 8 dishes). Not too sure about the price but should be at the medium-range, as I booked for a medium-range cruise package.

We had a really good meal here, more expensive that most places. We had around 6-8 sharing dishes between four people and cost around 800,000 with drinks. Good customer service and good food! Lovely views to sit outside over the lake.

We ended up ordering way to much and got to have a taste of a lot of different things, everything we had was amazing and the portion sizes were huge. Service was fast and friendly and the price reasonable

Whilst on a cruise from Singapore to Hong Kong, our ship stayed in Halong bay for 2 days. My partner and I found this cafe as it was the drop off and pick up point for our shuttle bus. It is next to a market for those who like bartering for bargains. The cafe itself has free wi fi so ideal for us to keep in touch with family and friends. It was very clean and modern, nice place for a coffee and a bite to eat. Whilst we were in there we noticed they did a luxury cruise with their own luxury boat, but also they acted as agent for Junk trips in Halong Bay. We decided to book a Junk trip, and what a great choice that was. The girl organising the trips booked us in for the following day and told us to be at the cafe for 12 noon. The following is our fantastic experience; Arrive at cafe 12 noon, private car takes us to our Junk, met by captain who shakes our hand, ourselves and approx 25 others embark the Junk, set sail and for the next 30 minutes we are served a Vietnamese banquet (too many types of food to list) superb cuisine, a guide talks us through the beauty of Halong Bay, we stop at a floating village where you can kayak for a small fee, set sail again through stunning scenery and then we are taken by foot into the most spectacular caves, virtually every colour of the rainbow to be seen on the walls and ceilings, then back on the Junk where copious amounts of fruit are laid out for us,then back to the pier, captain phones our driver to tell him what time we disembark and the driver is waiting for us as the Junk gets in, the driver then says he will drive us back to where our cruise ship is docked rather than just the cafe (at no extra cost), cost of the whole trip was $25 each (our cruise ship was charging $99 each not including food). This tour around the bay should not be missed, it will stay with you for life, just writing this post is making me re-live it, fantastic. The whole trip lasted just under 4 hours, real value

My husband and I have been going there since last year. Most of the time is lunch. They have some kind of bento that rice, stir-fries and some vegetable are present in a box. Our favourite order is rice with pork and small shirt stir-fries. Very tasty. Don't try coffee. It is horrible.

Bringing Vietnamese traditions into the heart of the World Heritage Site. Named after the year that President Ho Chi Minh first visited Tuan Chau Island on September 13th, 1958, 1958 Restaurant is located few doors away from Paradise Suites Hotel, the first luxury boutique hotel in Halong Bay. The cozy and friendly setting at 1958 makes it the ideal choice for gatherings in the World Heritage Site. The restaurant serves authentic Vietnamese cuisine with signature dishes featuring fresh seafood prepared in traditional Vietnamese style from Northern Vietnam.
During our 9-day trip, we must have had over 15 Vietnamese meals also being Vegetarians we have limited eating options. So we were looking forward to eating here with its high reviews on Trip Advisor. The food we had here was forgotten among the many similar meals we had. From what I can recollect they were decent but more expensive and half the portion size as compared to other establishments we had visited. Still, it being right next to our hotel and us having difficulty to get Veg options in Ha Long City the following day did make it the best Vietnamese option for us at Halong.

Restaurant looks nice with lake view, decorating is fine. However, it's located in a quiet mall named Halong Marine Plaza. There are just 3 restaurant in the mall, so we don't have many options.
About food, Vietnamese food is really good and fresh. They also serve some Western dishes, but they are just basic. You can order some fried food, soup and salad.

We are serving Pizza, hamburger, steak and waffle.
There really is only one thing to get right when you want to make good pizza / burger: use the best fresh ingredients there is. The dough of the pizza and the bun of the burger oozes margarine/ vegetable butter, it's so bad it made us laugh. The toppings were bad as well, the whole pizza was somehow sweet and oily.
The burger had no sauces (mustard, ketchup, bbq or whatever and the patty was unsalted and blend.
Please guys, try to make it better, it would be so nice to have good pizza place in halong bay.
