You must try the "patacones con hogao", plantain with an special sauce, "empanadas" for the appetizer, they will give you a salad without asking, for the main dish you can try any of the angus meats, the portions are huge but delicious, they have salmon an robalo fish which are good, as the chicken is. For the desser ask for the "Rollo de Helado, con mora y arequipe", is an ice cream slice, topped with blackberries and arequipe. The prices are like $15-25 for the main dish.
Only go there for luch, as far as I remember it is close by 6 pm. Not sure on weekends.

Islamorada is a Friendly, happy place with an amazing view. The restaurant is simply beautiful, the decoration wonderful, it is totally worth visiting it even though the food is average. Great for celebrations, just do not order the Sangria, not good at all. Is lovely to walk around the restaurant, it has a lot of places to sit and enjoy a drink. Recommend it!

Restaurante Los Pinos is located just 50 minutes from Bogota on the road from Sesquilé to Guatavita and has a beautiful view toward the dam of Tominé. Besides is located in a zone close to numerous tourist destinies, such as the lake and village of Guatavita and Rocks of Suesca, among others. This authentic place offers a variety of delicious dishes, desserts and beverages in a country setting and very cozy. There you can also enjoy the unique ambience of the Bar “El Muelle”, which with its chimney and exclusive nautical style decor, does that their cocktails and variety of craft beers be more special. In addition to the above and as another recreational option, offers a tour by the dam at any time on a cruise type ship of 27 feet with capacity for 6 people and the possibility to consume cold snacks. Our schedule of attention is Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10,00 am to 18,00 pm.
I am from England. Things are very expensive in England. When i come to Colombia i expect the price of food to be relatively reasonable in comparison.
Sadly, this restaurant, whilst offering a fanstastic view, exploits that to the maxiumum with over priced and tasteless food. We ordered a starter of potatoes and that amounted to a pathetic serving. I was truly gobsmacked.
I expected more and it didnt deliver. The service was dreadful. I wouldnt return and im disappointed.

As other reviewers have said, this place is nice and well appointed but the service is hopeless. The food is expensive and just OK (some dishes are good and others marginal). On top of that the waiters just stand around looking at the iPad without doing really much. Expect 2-3 hours for lunch (with dessert it will take even longer). Bring snacks.

Nace entre las montanas y la represa , La Republica de Tomine, Pais gastronomico creado para recargar energia en medio de la naturaleza , pasar el dia en familia , amigos, y disfrutar del mas alucinante menu de nuestra cocina europea
This restaurant is very well located, close to a lake and with a field of grass in front of a big glass window restaurant.
The food is very good and you have to go there without any rush, cause it takes time and it is an opportunity to enjoy a pleasant afternoon.
Service can improve but it´s part of the restaurant charm to really make you take your time.

La Cabaña Alpina is a rural space near Bogotá to share the best plans with family and friends. Delight yourself in Sopó with all the quality products from Alpina and other exclusive products from the Cabaña. It is a fun place to visit with children or as a couple, every day of the week and throughout the year.
A lovely dairy shop with lots of cheap cheeses, yoghurts, milks, desserts and all things dairy. There’s a massive garden with sandpits and several play areas for toddlers and children alike. A great family destination. Today is a Thursday and it’s busy so be prepared for holidays and weekends.

Good coffee, excellent attention and great music, with a beautiful background like the colonial scenery of Guaravita plaza, specially at night
