Really nice restaurant. It's a good restaurant rather than a warm hole to come after skiing, but we had an excellent meal here.
The food was great; creative and high quality. All the meals were to the same high standard.
The staff really made it though - two individuals serving were pleasantly friendly and welcoming.
I see that the majority of reviews here are positive - clearly sharing our sort of experience.

The Restaurant Eibsee-Pavillon by the lake is on the southern shore and offers a beautiful view across the Eibsee and of the imposing cliffs and summit of the Zugspitze. The spacious lake Terrace and the Mediterranean-styled restaurant offer the perfect ambiance for a snack or meal on the shore of the stunningly beautiful Eibsee.
The view is just beautiful. Eibsee is a beautiful lake. Pavillon right on the water . The food is just not very good. We went here for lunch after walking around Eibsee (5 Miles). Just looking forward to sitting down and enjoying our meal somewhat disappointed.

Fabulous service and food - Over the last year, Monkia and Renate have taken over the restaurant and improved the menu (which was excellent already). I highly recommend the Haxen (pork knuckle), which has the best crunch to gravy I have ever had. My husband has the fish, which is very fresh. They are happy to substitute vegetables for potatoes anytime.

A typical Bavarian place. Very popular and serving traditional food. German atmosphere with nice staff and get ready for huge portions

We came here as a group and we all ordered pizza and we all enjoyed it. They are huge and thin crusted. Most of us had the "everything but fish" pizza and loved it. The kids had bolognese and seemed to enjoy it too.
Lovely place and the staff were nice and helpful.

I have been coming to this place for years. I always make a reservation on time because it is hard to get in without a plan. I look forward to the authentic Italian cusibe you can fine here. The service is very attentive to details and fast, and they speak English, Italian, and German.
The salads are amazing, the soup are exquisite the pizzas are fantastic, and their tiramisu is out of this world. La Baita spaghetti is one my favorite dishes, and the sizes of portions for all dishes are generous.

We liked this restaurant so much we ate here several times, for both lunch and dinner, during our stay in Garmisch. The owners speak English, which helped us even though we tried to use our limited German. You have to try the Pretzel Soup...one of our favorites!
Everything is good here, you won't be disappointed. Watch the portions though because they give you a lot of food.

We have tried several restaurants in Grainau and some are good and some are better. This restaurant was a great stop for dinner. Both of our meals were outstanding. We had a eef goulash special with red cabbage and spaetzle and a Schweinbraten (pork) with potato dumplings. The waitress was super friendly and took great care of us.
The outside patio would be great if the weather was warmer... the only negative that I would mention is that the menu was pretty limited.

Good range of restaurants on Austrian and German sides of the summit of mountain. Views from restaurants is excellent. Cogwheel train can be a crush at peak periods.

We had dinner there on a cold night and were happy to find this cozy restaurant. Both of our dishes were very tasty even if the size of the salad is so huge it’s grotesque... I would recommend taking one for 3 people... unless you are starving!
Good service. I made a mistake on my dessert order and sent it back. They were nice enough not to charge me for it.
