This must be Gore's best kept secret! You won't believe the brilliant selection of food to suit all tastes. You begin salivating just looking at the incredible choice! No wonder on what I thought was a slow Sunday lunch - the place was full of happy dinners. Very friendly staff meant to waiting. Prompt, happy service. Treats galore here.

Finally got to try this restaurant as every other time we've visited Gore they've been super busy. The food was fantastic and service great. A bit of a wait on our meal but they were busy (and it was only a Tuesday night so must be popular). I had the steak and it was cooked perfect. Everyone else in our large group enjoyed their meal. We didn't have dessert as were full but did oggle what people near us were having and they looked delicious so maybe next time we pass through town.

We were a hungry family of six, and everyone got a good deal: the bacon and eggs for the kids, the cod for their parents, and the soup of the day and the salmon fillet for the grandparents. Topped off with top quality New Zealand berry juice, and predictably excellent coffee, everyone left happy. There may be others of similar quality, we were satisfied with our choice. It was more than adequate.

This place has some of the worst thai food I have had in a while. The ingedients of a Thai meal were all there... but in the wrong quantities... making the larb overpowered by oil and fish/oyster sauce.
It was edible... but only just.
Perhaps the chefs have gotten lazy. Buy a recipe book and try again...
Over priced for the quality.

Been twice in a week. Chose trio of salad the first time . They were great. Next time was a cappuccino and berry cake. It was delicious with some yoghurt on the side. Friendly and prompt service.

Just opened in December 2011
I dine here frequently, and they never cease to amaze me. A ordered a garlic bread and the Eggs Benedict. The garlic bread was nice and fresh with more than enough garlic butter. The Eggs Benedict was delicious, with salmon just smoked a minute ago....MoreHi Trevor Thanks for your feedback we pride ourselves on smoking our salmon onsite daily and it definately does show in the taste so we are glad you enjoyed it. Will pass on your thoughts to the staff. Roz

RSA = returned service association which are through out New Zealand. Part of the Chartered Clubs of New Zealand.
We booked the new wing for a funeral which catered for 80 people. The staff and the food were excellent. There was ample food and the pork especially was cooked to perfection.
Drinks were reasonable priced, although double spirits seemed proportionately more expensive.
The rsa was great for the kids, they could run around and there was even a kids play area set aside.

A nice cosy cafe with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. On the day my friends and I called in, unbeknownst to us, the cafe was actually closed but the young woman at the counter took our orders anyway and served us delicious coffee.

A Vibrant Restaurant, newly renovated with an intimate feel, great outdoor dining in the summer and a warm and friendly winter place with our "Blazing Copper" fire place. Award winning dishes with a focus on great service.
A very warm, welcoming place with modern decor and a great atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food as well. We were fortunate enough to have the famous Bluff Oysters on the day of our visit which were beautifully prepared and presented. Would recommend...MoreThanks for the great feedback, I will pass your comments onto the rest of the team. Kind Regards Mathew Brettell General Manager

What a delightful surprise this was for us. This was our first kebabs experience in NZ and, because it was so wonderful, not our last. The staff of this family run place were kind and helpful, extremely friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and filled with interesting spices and tasty treats. We highly recommend the wraps and the burger. Wish they had one of these restaurants in the U.S. as we would eat there very frequently - the owner told us that there are other similar "Turkish Kebabs" restaurants through NZ so we looked for them and ate there when we could. Gore is lucky to have this place!
