I went to l'Amorosa with a colleague after visiting a client in Forli.
It wasn't really on the way but it was worth taking a taxi in and out for that lunch!
The food was excellent and really good value. I will never forget those tortelloni!
The staff is very friendly too.
The place is always really busy at lunch so it might be a good idea to book.

I'd probably put a Poor grade if it wasn't for the fact that I've been here before and that time was on the verge of a EX+. Apparently love lost also made the cuisine loose more than a bit. Hopefully they'll get back on track. We were a birthday party this time and neither the food, nor the timing was adequate in the entire groups opinion. Really loved this place 3-4 years ago. Get back on track!

Located in the heart of Forli close to the theatre and San Domenico Museums, DON ABBONDIO OSTERIA is a centenarian institution where theatre workers and actors used to have a meal at late night. Today the tavern belongs to the young host Simone, who is a sommelier and has a very particular passion on cheese too. The family took great care over the previous tavern style, but in a modern and stylish way. So that youʼll find paper placemats on the table, some of the traditional recipes on the list belonged to the inn history, such as “stracotto beef”, fried frogs, meatballs and tripe, but also a great selection of wine and contemporary paintings on the walls, made by the artist Enrico Lombardi. And for true lovers, a little cameo: a candle-lit dinner in the only one table under the roof.
Coming over year in a foggy evening of winter is definitely preparing you fro the nice experience I had. I had very nice food with single glass of wine selected by the younger apprentice having passion for wines of the territory, is asking where I am coming from and he makes sure I taste different local one I have never had before. Starter ok first dish pasta hand made with faro and cannochie is fresh like you would expect and second trippa absolutely great. Nice atmosphere for place I will re visit to experience other plates and new wines. Keep the good work going !

A party of four went to this tiny little restaurant for lunch after visiting the art museum and special Goldini exhibit in Forli. We had gotten its name from the Slow Food book. The chef and waiter could not have been nicer. The food was thoughtful and well executed. The place was tiny but very comfortable situated on a small piazza. We had lovely seafood antipasti and assorted pastas for a Primi. Wines were lovely and the chef came out and we had a nice conversation. We felt very welcomed. How could you ask for more?

Arriving in Forli from Faenza we find this excellent osteria. Great atmosphere, simple and traditional decoration. Family owned and managed it's easy to confirm the very good reviews they've been receiving. We started with the "Crema di zucca con polpette di baccalà" and the "Flan di carciofi con crema di pecorino e aceto balsamico", and for "primi" "Cappelletti in brodo di cappone". We choose the "Bacallá" as the main dish, closing with the "Crema croccante ai lamponi". Everything was so good and tasty. Good house white wine. A place to remember and to come back, definitely.

We showed up without a reservation during the week and despite all tables being reserved a small table was arranged for us instantly! The service was very welcoming, we got delicious food recommendations and really enjoyed the evening! We recommend the home made pasta cooked by the mama! :) we loved it all! Looking forward to coming back!

Being originally from Forlì, the "La Monda" Restaurant (or "Da Alfio", after the name of the owner and the spirit behind this multi-decade venture) has been a landmark in my family's history of eating out.
Now, living abroad, having a lunch at "La Monda" has become a rarer bonus, and so much more appreciated precisely for this reason.
The menu has not changed for decades, and that's what keep a hord of aficionados coming back again and again. The fare - from first to main courses, and then on to side dishes and desserts - are a culinary Panorama of what Romagna has to offer to the outside world. Home-made pastas, especially the filled varieties, are delicious. Main dishes, mostly grilled meat will send any passionate carnivore to seventh heaven, along with grilled or fried vegetables to complete the picture. Desserts, in turn, are made in the kitchen of the restaurant, with "zuppa inglese", a local version of trifle based on custard cream, leading the pack.
The wine served - mostly red - is made with grapes from the surrounding vinyards, and the bill will not fail to be a pleasant surprise to newcomers, especially in these times of crisis.
The dining-room is constantly peppered by the owner's presence, dashing between the tables while dispensing his humour and his warm welcome.
Although "La Monda" is not on the most travelled path in the world, no effort should be spared to try it if you are travelling anywhere between Bologna and the Adriatic Coast of Romagna.

We've been to Convivio a dozen times or so over the last few years, it just keeps getting better and better, I've tried the vegetarian, fish and meat set menus and various dishes from the a la carte menu, you can tell that a lot of care goes into each and every dish, the shallot and Parmesan ice cream starter is out of this world and fortunately seems to be on the menu all year round, don't fill up on the 8 different kinds of bread they bring you, save some room for one of their amazing desserts, fig and squaquerone creme brûlée anyone?

We happened to pass by Forlí and decided to stop for lunch in this restaurant which turned out to be such a good surprise !
I do believe the pics I'm publishing speak for themselves... what I have to add is: absolutely lovely and careful service, cozy atmosphere and really affordable price.
Be sure to visit if you are anywhere nearby because it is totally worth it.

We stopped for a brief lunch at the Forlimpopoli branch of Piadineria da Nino, and we were certainly impressed by the size of the portions for their "crescioni", i.e. the folded up version of piadina with a filling of your choice.
All of our crescioni were savoury, with a rich filling and the dough well cooked and just the right thickness.
All in all, a pleasant (almost overwhelming) experience.
