This is a restaurant I keep returning to, it does all the usual Portuguese dishes well and some very indeed. My mothers' favourite is the Lamb chops, I find it harder to choose between Tuna steak, Pork with mushroom sauce, Chicken kebab Piri-Piri and steak with pepper sauce, they're all equally good. For dessert it has to be Apple pie if you've got any room left. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is easy going, it's no wonder I keep returning.
I'd advise arriving early or making a reservation as it can get busy at times.

We knew the dish would be big so we only ordered one but it was excellent. The owner was very friendly and very attentive. We were Seating next to people that were also staying at the same B&B so we had a great evening. They had ordered the same dish but one each. We laughed!!! Food was excellent and very affordable. The restaurant holds Fado evening on Sundays. Unfortunately we could not make it that day!

The cooking style of Restaurante "O Barradas" is based on original Portuguese cuisine and recipes adapted into a more contemporary defined taste. We only chose the best ingredients often found in the local region and serve daily fresh fish caught in Sagres and the tenderest meat from the North of Portugal (Mirandesa).
We visited this restaurant with friends some of which had eaten there before and four of us had not. The outside location was very special under the trees added to the atmosphere. The menu is excellent and fits everyone's dietary needs. I had the John Dory pan fried with garlic and capers. I have to say it was the best fish I had tasted in Portugal during my two week stay, and I had had fish at most of the evening meals. The shared starter was delicious and the restaurant had a good selection of wines. All six of us were completely happy with our meal choices. the dessert selection was very good and we managed to share the pancakes with cream cheese and lemon were amazing. The staff were very friendly and extremely efficient , not rushed and a very pleasant experience.

Four of us, dined here last night having booked 2 days previously. It is recommended that you do book as this restaurant is very popular. We dined alfresco as the night was still unseasonably warm. The menu printed in 5 different languages is comprehensive indeed, self explanatory and accompanied by 3 or 4 specials on the notice board. We heard both Spanish and French clients last evening along with 3 or 4 tables of Brits. Chose 1 or 2 starters each, a main course and then add a dessert or not (the choice is yours). However many courses you do chose, will be accompanied by water and wine included in the price. An amuse bouche of a small prawn pancake on a mixed leaf bed and chilli jam, was brought to the table. Then to start with we chose 2 specials: crispy coated prawns with a garlic and lemon mayonnaise, Chicken livers and Carpaccio of beef. All were delicious. Main courses of: Baby Sole fish grilled, Mixed grilled fish fillets, Sea Bass fillets and Lamb Fillets were all beautifully presented and all tasted fabulous. Desserts of: 2 creme brulee, Orange tart and a chocolate lava cake, all 'hit the mark' for quality, taste and size. With coffee included and the water and wine, our total bill of 155 Euros for 4 people was very acceptable indeed. We will be visiting again very soon. Thank you Chrissy's for a memorable evening.

At Restaurante Bon Bon your fine-dining experience will encompass exquisite dishes from the seasonal Tasting Menu as well as giving you the opportunity to opt for wine pairing if desired. Great attention to detail and impeccable service has awarded Restaurante Bon Bon its first Michelin Star in November 2015 and its tranquil and welcoming ambience ensure an ideal setting no matter the season.
We visited here a few days ago for our anniversary & it was well worth it. The service from all staff was impeccable, plus the chef actually serving & visiting all diners is exceptional. We had the 4 course tasting menu, which with all the surprise courses as well we left stuffed, wowed, & wishing we lived in Portugal to return. We've experienced a few Michelin starred restaurants over the years, Bon Bon has out shone them all!

Le Paradis restaurant is a 30th year well know restaurant in the area, serving specially grilled meat and fish. We provide a private parking place and a playing ground for children.
Introduced visiting family to Le Paradis as one of our favourite local restaurants. We enjoyed a lovely meal of fresh fish and meat. Would particularly recommend sampling their marinated pork kebabs, lamb cutlets and any of the fresh fish which is all expertly cooked on the open barbeque.

Pequeno restaurante tradicional, que se dedica á Confeçao e divulgação da comida regional algarvia.
I generally avoid Portuguese traditional restaurants for a number of reasons tho this restaurant has now become my favourite.
I have no idea how many courses we had but each with delicious and well proportioned. Traditional food served with imagination and quality in equally comfortable surroundings with attentive and polite staff.
Booking is a must, even inJanuary.

Charming eatery run by ‘Portuguese English’ couple. Second time here, and did not disappoint. The most fabulous steak, being local meat, with salad and the usual. Lovely wine on offer, finished off with an awesome fig, almond and chocolate tart (all locally sourced). For three of us, two bottles of wine, bottled water etc so reasonable at €35 ph given exceptional quality. Easily my favourite whilst here, and will be back!

A Ria is situated in Ferragudo along the quay side before the local market off the main square. Ferragudo is one of the most picturesque fishing villages in Portugal. A Ria is a small restaurant which compliment Ferragudo specializing in local Algarvean cuisine such as Cataplana & Monk fish rice, cuttlefish and clams is the specialty of the house. Your visit to Ferragudo and A Ria would not be complete with out tasting fresh fish grilled across the road, served with potatoes and salad but will be happy to provide home made chips and fresh vegetable if preferred. The menu caters for everyone with some excellent steak options and a small children's menu. A Ria prepares all the dishes at the time of order ensuring each dish is fresh NB.this can cause some delays in the height of the summer when the restaurant is full, you can take this time to relax and enjoy a drink or a bottle of good quality Portuguese wine. WiFi is now available. A Ria is currently closed on Mondays. To guarantee your table Reservations are excepted.
Had a fabulous meal of Scorpion fish which was recommended by the Manager. Brought the fish to the table and then came back and let us know how much it would cost - 42 euros for the two of us with potatoes and vegetables. It was then prepared and cooked on the b-b-q at the quayside, which I can honestly say was delicious. Staff were great and it was a very enjoyable evening. Book ahead as it does get busy.

6 adults celebrated my daughter's birthday here last week. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the excellent hospitality. Every time we visit Carvoeiro we always make the journey out of town at least once to eat here and never been disappointed.
