Carvoeiro built this boardwalk about 2 1/2 years ago and it is excellent and good fun, especially with nice weather (which is 310 days in a year), and blue skies. At the end you can have lunch at the ALGA SECO Restaurant. Good quality and all very fresh, especially the fish, which the fisherman from Carvoeiro delivers every morning! Service is friendly and quick! The view over the blue pools directly to the ocean is spectacular!! Go there on a nice sunny day, you won´t be disappointed. We live in Carvoeiro for 6 months every year and we always have lunch there when we feel like it!

We are staying in Carvoeiro, but love to hike the cliffs at Marina. Absolutely breathtaking. Bring your lunch and eat at the provided picnic area! At this time of year the beach is deserted and gorgeous

...and I didn’t even get to go in - yet!
From the clifftop path it is evidently something spectacular - the sparking turquoise colour of the water against the vivid orange cliffs - is stunning even in the winter sunlight.
But it is perhaps the accessibility and breathtaking scale of the caves that is unusual for this part of Europe.
Take a boat trip to the caves from Carvoeiro - you won’t regret it!

This place is amazing. discovered the cove entirely by accident whilst walking the coastline trail and then descended down through a maze of stairs carved out of the natural stone of the coastline. Did not expect to find the quaintest and most romantic little cove beach I have seen for a long while at the end of the trail. You don't get a glimpse of the beach until you actually arrive on the sand and from there you are naturally drawn into simply diving into the maginificent sea. The waves were quite big the day we arrived and the sea temperatures were a little 'fresh' to say the least but that did not stop us from charging in and having the most wonderful swim and freshen up in the hot midday sun. some bathers took the plunge off the surrounding cliffs which looked amazing and exciting but perhaps also a tad dangerous. Not exactly my style to take a risk like that but many others were brave enough to do so. The water is exhillerating and so clear and fresh that you can literally see the fish swim up to you and almost touch them. Stunning views and lovely soft sand make for a wonderful experience and a gorgeous day out. I will certainly be hoping to return here again asap. well worth the long walk down the hill and of course back up again and frankly made me feel 20 years younger

There are many glorious sandy Beaches on the Algarve, but some of them are hard to get to - indeed some are only accessible by boat. Vale de Centeanes is 10 minutes walk from the beautiful Rocha Brava resort, and it's downhill all the way (until it's time to come back, of course). There's a little bar/restaurant and at the right time of the year you can watch the sunset.

In February the beach was relatively quiet except for a few beach goers and a couple boats. The beach is located in central Carvoeiro and is easily accessed by the boardwalk. Many of the restaurants and shops were still closed in the area but plenty of places were still open. I suspect you’ll want to get there early to secure a spot in the busy summer season.

It is important for people to realize that many of the reviews for this restaurant reflect the previous management. The new operators are offering superb service and excellent food. We were a group of four dining here in late September and we're still talking about our memorable experience. The lamb was delicious, the Portuguese steak was flavourful and my strip-loin steak was cooked to perfection. Our hosts could not do enough for us and they graciously allowed to linger into the evening. We highly recommend this restaurant.

This is the view from the Tivoli hotel. Everyone else has to travel the coastal walkway; sometimes with some risk. But the view is incredible. Not sure if the beach(small as it is) is easy to access nor worth the trip down the walkway. If it is , remember you are there by yourself. No lifeguards

We stayed at one of the local resorts adjacents to this place, and one of the main reasons for choosing it was access to this club. It was a complete disappointment. There is apparently a clear disdain for people that stay in rented properties and this shows through very clearly.
The facilities are not nearly as described. In general the entire place is ran down, the putt-putt golf course is in awful shape, and attendants are rarely found when needed. One can imagine how this must have been a nice club when far fewer houses were around.
The gym staff alternates between indifferent or plain-rude, depending on who you get. Two out of three treadmill machines did not work, the weights were all over the place, and children were allowed to hang out without adult supervision.
Very rarely have we seen health clubs with a greater potential for injuries. Use at your own risk and be aware there is no air conditioning. This would be a bad free gym at a hotel, let alone when you are paying for it.
