It was about mid-afternoon and we were looking for a restaurant. Many of the restaurants seemed to be closed for the rest of the day.
We found Restaurante Baliza and when I saw the TripAdvisor excellence certificate, I recommended we try it although it seemed they were just winding down from a busy lunch period and staff were getting ready to have their lunch. But they all came to attention when we went in and sat down. Even the couple who I assumed to be the owners stopped eating and took care of our group.
I ordered the seafood rice and soup and I was not disappointed. I found the dishes tasty. My friends ordered some pork and chicken dishes and they, too, were satisfied.

"CABANA" has a long
existence and its greatest value is that it maintains a very high quality and service level over 30 years now. It lays nearby Espinho's seafront and has an amazing view. Its interior although a bit old maintains its cozyness and is appealing to customers. Its high quality level and customer relationship maintains very long term customer connections which is not easy to find and maintain in this day and age! The food is superb! Highly recommend it but one is advised to book beforehand since at times it is fully booked for weekends or dinners.

Holidayed in Espinho for 10 years! First time we have eaten here!!! Sad, we have missed out. It should be number two or three. The pork tenderloin was superb.

Learn some ) and they are as friendly as everyone we have met in Espinho.
Whoever paid silly money for 4 rhums wants shooting, the croft brandy is 2.5 euros, the coffee is average price.
Really a superb meal at a very reasonable price ( by Portuguese standards, not uk rip offs ) coupled with good service with a smile!
We will return tomorrow, sadly our last night this year, and try something different.
If you are in Espinho and try Terminal 8' you will NOT be disappointed.

To get to this place was not easy as it was a little difficult to find. We heard about it from a local Portuguese barman.
When we arrived, the restaurant didn't look great, but we went inside anyway...after that, it was one of the best moments of the holiday.
The owner is a Sporting Lisbon fan and the lady who served us spoke perfect french.
She was extremely nice, and showed me all the fresh fish in the kitchen and asked me to choose what we would like.
No menu.....you choose...just perfect.
Served with fresh vegetables and great potatoes.
Excellent wine, not expensive.
Everyone there was Portuguese and there was a great atmosphere, it was like everybody knew everybody.
Nice to be in a real Portuguese place with no tourists for once.

Wonderful place and amazing staff. They have an exquisite menu of pastry and some of the best coffee. The cafe is located not far off the beach and is right in the heart of Espinho.

If you wanna try local portugese food, this is the place to go! The family running the restaurant are the sweetest and most generous peolpe. We got excellent service and more food than we needed for a very very decent price. As a finisher they insisted on giving us a taste of their portwine .. for free, as poor students that's always a pleasent surprise

The place was full during lunch and I realized most of the table had the grilled shrimps, so we went for it! Awesome butter sauce with orange juice and garlic. Sounds particular but went extraordinary well with the shrimps! Thats a must!!!
And when leaving the restaurant, beware of the exit which leads you to the open road (no pavement)

Pretty friendly place. Heard from a friend they are fairly famous around the area for their squids, so I went there specifically for this dish. It did not disappoint, they were very big and well seasoned. Recommended. Very cheap as well!Happy that you enjoyed your meal Hope to see you soon Alvaro Lopes
