Had beautiful dinner with colleague, took menu with wine pairing, which truly impressive, while staying at hotel.
Service, food quality and location is truly perfect, both for business and private events. entrance to property is impressive,
don't forget to close with whisky for after dinner at their whisky
bar, and visit their wine cellar in building.

Come here on a regular basis as this restaurant is close to my parents' place. In winter please try the game dishes, in other seasons the fish dishes (especially the lobster scallop main) are well worth trying. Restaurant isn't cheap but not over the top pricey either. Generally you would need a reservation. Service is always pleasant and personable (if you have a weird request, within reason you are usually accomodated.)

Had the good fortune of finding this little gem while cycling through Holland. Service was quite friendly, price was decent and the quality of the meal was very good. I recommend it as quite a tasty stop for appies or the full meal deal

The restaurant was packed on Saturday evening in August. The food is very good, and reasonably priced, we had 4 courses and wine for EUR 50,= per person. I have to applaud the waiters/waitresses; not all in our group were too polite ( I am somewhat ashamed to admit) and they dealt with it graciously. The fact that they do not write down the order and still remember exactly what you had, feels like genuine interest in the guest. Very welcoming. I would recommend it to anyone who likes high quality food, and who can appreciate real hospitality.

Very lovely small restaurant in an original historic building. Hospitality is OK, friendly people, They serve original local dishes from mostly local production. In the weekends you can enjoy live music. Nice terras outside where you can eat. You must make a reservation.

The Rack restaurant, an a la carte restaurant, as a shelter, the former haystack from the farm. Here you can enjoy a cup of coffee and an apple pie after a brisk walk, but also for a hearty dinner. The restaurant features a large Terrace where you can eat outside in the summer. The menu is changed regularly, in different seasons are given ample attention to specific products. Warm, friendly, representation and tasty food. With these characteristics, we describe like Brochetterie The Part. A grill restaurant with an extensive salad as an appetizer buffet. The restaurant features, like the rack, a large Terrace where you can eat outside in summer.
My mentor Lee Kuan Yew, Prime Minister of Singapore for a great many decades (he passed away two years ago), was famous for his rather penetrating comments c.q. quotes. One of them: "It is only the less clever that never change their minds". That perfectly reflect my opinion re. De Ruif. Now to me the number one eatery at the Posbank by a mile. Earlier this week Terrace open, spring Sunshine galore. Hence, professional and attentive management.

We decided to try this restaurant for a celebration and are so glad we did.
The staff were outstanding, friendly, attentive, courteous and the sommelier was extremely knowledgeable making perfect drink suggestions to complement our food.
The atmosphere was super, being cosy and intimate.
The food was excellent , starting with complimentary appetisers, followed by mustard soup with a pork based mains. The total cost was boosted by the drink selection but it was worth it, especially as we were celebrating. Cost was €150 for 4 people. If we had chosen cheaper wine and not had the white port with the soup, then it would have been a lot less.
All in all a great place and would definitely return next time we are in Doesburg.

Morgen weer!

Doesburg has an old, fascinating inner city with quaint charm, beautiful gavels and cobblestone streets. Less known is that it has a 'shoreline' along the IJssel River where one can amble and enjoy Sunshine and nature. Amid the atractive apartments overlooking the river there is the Stadshotel with its Terrace on both sides of the boardwalk. It is fresh, new, modern and of high quality and makes for a pleasant sit with protection from the wind and the sun if needed. We had coffee and hot chocolate and a piece of famous Dutch apple pie. It would have been idyllic if the waiting on our table had not been slow and confused and the price had been a little more friendly.
We did not enter the restaurant, but enjoyed the Terrace for a cup of mid-morning coffee.
