Everytime me and my partner head south of Aberdeen whether we're going to Edinburgh or Glasgow we make a (not so small) detour here for food because we know it's worth the trip
You can't book a table here but you just walk in and if there's not a free table then you wait in a cosy room by the fireplace and can have a drink whilst you wait
The steaks are incredible, although flame grilled isn't always my first choice it's always cooked perfectly and we always go for a blue cheese sauce and a pepper sauce which compliments the flame grilled flavour perfectly. You always get way more chips than you need and even though they are delicious you will be too stuffed from your steak
Don't even get me started on the waffles.. they are out of this world. Sometimes I think the waffles alone are worth the 2 hour trip from Aberdeen. Even if you think you're not a waffle person you will be blown away by how scrumptious these waffles are! Must try
Service is always excellent, all staff are friendly and accommodating which is another reason we keep going back
Overall if you are looking for a delicious meal away from the city at a price that's not extortionate then Champany Inn is a must try. We've yet to try the restaurant part next door but I'm certain it is fantastic

This restaurant has become our favourite place to enjoy a meal! The food is always excellent and the Christmas menu is exceptional. We had the 3 course special. I had the baked camembert , fillets of sole and profiteroles, hubby had chicken caesar goujons, duck...MoreThank you so muvhvfor the great review and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Not having been here for quite some time I was looking forward to some good pub grub.
Unfortunately the pork in cider gravy and the lamb in red wine gravy were both reminiscent of boil in the bag. Uniform slices and tasteless sauce.
Maybe we made poor choices but the veg was also very like something you could buy in a bag from Tesco.
Shame as I really liked it as a place to go for a good meal.

Renovated to a high standard in april 2009, italian restaurant and bar offereing lunch and early evening menus together with a la carte.Be it a romatic meal, celebration with family or friends, business with corporate clients or a quick bite, you will find yourself comfortable and relaxed.
Nice decoration, and design.Menu is mixed, so you have the chance to combine your starter, main and dessert as you wish. Waiter was nice and helpful. We spent around 1,5 hour there and left with positive experience. Thank you!
Ps. the panna cotta, tiramisu was excellent!

The 4 adult meals excellent - haddock, squash risotto, sea bass and prawn linguine. clearly freshly prepared and each was delicious. 4 children,s meals all good value and also individually prepared.
Friendly help form the waiter/server who obviously took pride in the standard of service.
The only ridiculous suggestion for improvement is smaller portions. I hate waste and had to push myself to finish the linguine. I would happily have paid the same price for a 3/4 or even 2/3 portion.
All in a really tasty, far above average well priced meal.

New restaurant in Linlithgow.
Bit of a last minute decision to go down with family for a Sunday evening meal but the place was packed and glad we had booked. The variety of food on the menu is excellent and the food itself was very good and beautifully cooked. Plenty to go round our small group. Service was to be expected and could not be faulted.

Was slightly apprehensive on arriving at restaurant. It is in an ugly block then up a flight of stairs. However service was very good and variety of food from the dinner buffet was great. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal which was reasonably priced.

Biscuit Cafe is a small cafe serving amazing coffee, teas, soup, sandwiches and other hot and cold food. The cafe is bright and spacious yet cosy with a beautiful garden where you can also sit and enjoy our food during the summer. The ideal place for lunch after visiting the beautiful medieval village of Culross.
Popped in for some light refreshment after walking around Culross. Quite a 'nooky' cafe, looks small, but seats a few people in three separate areas. Service can be slow (you can't order from the counter area) as you wait at your table, especially when there are a number of people there and it is busy. Teas and coffees were nice and cakes tasty. Prices on the 'tourist' level.

The Corbie Inn pub/restaurant was refurbished and re-opened in October 2011. It is situated close to the Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway line. In the summer you will be able to waive to the passing trains on their way to and from Birkhill Clay Mine from the beer garden. The objective and vision has always been to offer the best of real ales and cask beers from local, regional and national Breweries at value-for-money prices. Beers are available in pint, 1/2 pint and 1/3 pint measures so you can taste & try and enjoy a selection from the 6 ales on tap. The pub also offers a family-friendly atmosphere where children are welcome and can be served meals until 9pm when accompanied by an adult. A children's menu is available but children are welcome to choose and can be served half-portion meals of their choice from the main menu. Booking for meals is not a requirement but is sometimes advisable especially at weekends and if a set time is preferred.
Booked ahead as family going to the Santa train at Boness and Kinneil railway, pre-ordered food as time would be tight. Staff on telephone couldn't have been more helpful and understood our timetable! Arrived just before opening, large funeral party arriving at adjacent function room! However staff opened bar a few minutes early as it was freezing outside. I have to compliment staff again, food and drink delivered in good time, despite how busy they must have been. Food piping hot, generous portions and very good. This was a great start to our Santa experience just along the road. Must try and go when the micro brewery is open. To be recommended.

We are a small friendly bistro / resturant serving good quality local produce. All our food is cooked fresh to order using produce sourced from local butchers, fishmongers and bakers. Our Steaks have become very popular and these come from cattle farmed locally in Linlithgow.
A great find thanks to the good people of TripAdvisor! My wife & I were on a day trip and decided to stop off here for lunch. The menu was imaginative with something for everyone. Everything was homemade (even the chips), presentation was good and portion sizes were good! More importantly, the food was very tasty!
I felt the prices were very reasonable!
Will return!!
