Fermeture annuelle MACTOFF welcomes you and offers a wide selection of pizzas, sandwiches, salads, ... On or off the premises for lunch and dinner. We deliver the summer in the vicinity, do not hesitate to ask. Come and enjoy our summer Terrace in the village, with family or friends, good times.See you soon in our restaurant
Got pizza which was great with good fresh veg. The menu offers small and large fries. The large is indeed LARGE! So be warned. Toilet is accessed by going outside round the back. Interesting! Good value for money so worth a visit.

I would say I enjoyed this place the most when we stayed in Castellane. We stopped here a couple of time and the food was delicious and sitting out on the Terrace felt very authentic and typically french. This restaurant would be first on my list if I were to return to Castellane.

Restaurant Provençal
We were delighted to have bypassed the more obvious restaurants and search this one out on the backstreets as the food was really great with very friendly service. Limited wine choice, but great value.

WALL BEES - PANCAKE RESTAURANT Located in the heart of the Verdon Gorges, WALL BEES is in the small hilltop village of ROUGON. From the Terrace, you can admire the majestic flight of vultures that nest in the cliffs and in front discover an exceptional and spectacular view. Welcome!
We were given a tip to visit this creperie at our B&B, as part of our route around the Gorges du Verdon. What a hidden gem! Wonderful view from a sun soaked garden restaurant that, while modest, provided unbeatable views of the Gorges and great food. Not to be missed!

I attended the wedding of two wonderful friends who were married in Castellane. They invited the wedding party (some 50 of us) to join them for the wedding breakfast at Auberge du Teillon.
French food is well-known for its quality, flavour and presentation and we were very excited about the prospect of what would essentially be a tasting menu as part of the nuptials. However, with any big event, in the back of the mind is always the fact that the food will be mass-catered and may not be quite enough for the day.
We needn't have worried! From the canapes to the petit fours, this meal was sublime! The service was excellent, the wine kept flowing, the room was tastefully decorated and the food was well-prepared, well-presented and delicious! We also needn't have worried about the amount, as there was in fact so much so that we all needed to have a small lie down before starting the evening party.
I now understand that this was the restaurant's first wedding. This did not show and the whole experience was wonderful.
Although admittedly we did not attend a "normal" service and threfore cannot comment on the usual dining experience or the value for money - I can safely say that you are very unlikely to be disappointed. This is a gem of a place that should be tried.

I found the room to be furnished with typically French furniture. Had to climb two flights of stairs; no lift. Shower uses shower curtain, which I personally dislike because it sticks to your skin and that feeling annoys me. Breakfast was simple; might be better to have it elsewhere. Parking free and included (behind hotel). Tight and limited space, however. Alright for an overnight.

Stopped in the small town of Castellane on a trip between Antibes and Perouges just to eat lunch and stretch our legs. Walked around checking out the different menus of the day and settled on La Forge because of the reasonable price (13 euros per person) and lovely setting (outside the La Forge Inn, in a square with shade trees). The menu included coq au vin with a nice veggie casserole and french fries, choice of dessert and a coffee.

I spent 5 days in Castellane and discovered this gem on my third day, the croissants were delicious! I got a chocolate croissant but there was more then chocolate inside, it was a sweet but light filling! My boyfriend got a fruit tart, also delicious and very appealing to the eye! And on another visit there we tried the apricot tart, the two tarts similar and both fruity and fresh! The cookies also crunchy and light and the baguettes were also The staff were lovely, friendly and the prices were very reasonable! I would definitely recommend this place if your ever in Castellane!

In the middle of an area that is filled with cramped, 4-star-campsites with entertainment, water slides and everything that comes with them, this nice little campsite is a great place to be! Right on the Route Napoleon, it makes a great stop for motorcyclists!
The sanitary is basic, but it's enough. The pitches are spacious, and the view is incredible! The places in the back are the best, they will give you the best Sunshine in the evening. The nights can be cold though!
Besides the view, the best thing about this place is the bistrot. Great food, drinks, and a great (musical) atmosphere! Run by 3 nice people, who happen to be very motorcycle-minded. Especially Bertrand, although he might harass you about being so stupid not to ride a Ducati...

Whoever is the chef needs a bit kiss. This restaurant opens at 1900hrs and looks closed until then. We arrived alongside a couple who had a puncture en route..later on the owner was in the yard with an air pump and the offer of a lift if that did not work. What a chap. Anyway for € 29 a head we had a meal that cannot be faulted. I am a bit of a Neanderthal but I know good nosh when I see and eat it. I would have taken a photo of the exquisite presentation of the food, but I ate it. Go there, patronise the establishment, and if my experience is the standard you will not be disappointed. There is a lovely dog there who floats around outside, if you tickle her then she is a friend for life.
