Castellammare del Golfo (Sicilian: Casteddammari; Latin: Emporium Segestanorum / Emporium Aegestensium) is a town and comune in the Trapani Province of Sicily. The name can be translated as "Sea Fortress on the Gulf", stemming from the medieval fortress in the harbor. The nearby body of water conversely takes its name from the town, and is known as Gulf of Castellammare.

This restaurant deserves a Michelin star!!!!!
Please, please, if any of you travellers go to Sicily then you MUST go to this wonderful restaurant! The food is simply five star quality, presentation and tasting. The service is impeccable. You will not find a better restaurant in the whole of Sicily, maybe even Italy!!!!
Thank you to Fausto and Giuseppe for allowing me to experience paradise on earth!!!

La Cambusa serves very fresh and delicious seafood in Sicilian style. Every dish we got was fantastic. From The carpaccio of different fishes as a starter to excellent black pasta cooked in cuttlefish ink that was a real delicious, but perhaps not for everyone because of its very black color. We also had the Cous Cous, which was very good. The service was good and friendly. I strongly recommend this restaurant for its food and view.

I'm currently in vacation in Trapani province with my family and tonight, looking for a restaurant open on Easter Monday in Castellammare del Golfo, we ended up to Antiche Scale ... what a fantastic surprise!
We had busiate alla marinara, grilled swordfish, pistacchio tuna, grilled vegetable and dark chocolate cake.
Everything was great, staff are kind and welcoming, food is delicious!
To mention the tuna is absolutely tasty! Don't miss the opportunity to try it if you are nearby.

It isn't hard find find La Pasticceria in Scopello. It is situated in the middle of the village and there are a lot of seats outside (normal tables and lounge).
The food is typical for sicilia: dolce, dolce, dolce. But they hVe also some other food like pieces of pizza, sandwiches or bread.
But that's not what you come for. You have to try the sweets, and be aware - there are lots of sweets. Especially those with pistachio are worth to try. They also have ice cream which is very tasty and with 2 euro for a cup very reasonable.
The service is kind and helps you through the variety of sweets. There is self-service but they help you with your orders and they're very quick cleaning the tables after one leavs.

As our hotel included breakfast and dinner, we used Nettuno to have lunch or relax ahead of dinner. Food was simple but tasty and the drinks, including the wines, were of good quality.

The restaurant is simple and serves delicious food. It is very close to the city port, in a charming walkway. It was my first option to try the famous Sicilian cous cous, and it didn't disappoint me. The personal is very attentive.
Try also the fried fish as appetizers.

We came here as a family of 4, primarily to be within walking distance o 'Tonnara di Scopello' found a gem of a town and gem of a hotel by accident. Rooms, food, staff, pool, parking were all exceptional. And you can walk down a back dirt path approx' 500m to the access to 'Tonnara di Scopello' beach. My only reservation was the service at the bar that is attached to the hotel, was poor, but I am unsure if this was part of the hotel or sublet to accomodate hotel guests when they were in the pool grounds. But still a great hotel and place to eat and relax. Also only 50mtrs to all cafes, restaurants etc in the picture postcard town of Scopello.

Everytime I go back home (I'm living abroad now but I have Sicilian origin) I go to Sapori di Sicilia. It's like my mum's kitchen: the food they have is home made, with healthy and fresh ingredients and typical Sicilian!
All dishes are good and really tasty and definitely the best dish is Cous-cous with fresh fish!
I strongly recomment this restaurant to all tourist wishing to try TRUE Sicilian food at a very affordable price!
