Friends, I had lasagna, it was not that good. my daughters pizza was good. With drinks it came to over 52 USD, my most expansive meal to date here.
I asked for a glass of water 3 times. I also had beer and 2 Daiquiris. so do not think I was going cheap.
slow service. like all of town. They have movies on a 60 inch tv, they call GIANT... I have that tv in my basement. jajajaj
Hit and miss, stick with pizza, but there is a much better pizza place on the other end of town, opposite the park. that place is NICE!!!
Just Meh. Good luck.

Food here is awesome the Caribbean Chicken and grilled sea bass were amazing. The staff were extremely courteous and friendly and even pointed out when a mother and baby sloth were going by outside. The banana split was great too - there was a shot of something in it. Amazing night thanks guys.

Reviewed at this Costa Rican website. Food is insanely good:<br>http://www.costaricaindex.com/coral.html
There is only one restaurant in Cahuita's top 10 that is in the conversation with Coral Reef. Anyone rating them missed big time if they didn't order a meal with his Caribbean Sauce. My wife ordered Shrimp (Camerones) with it, while I ordered Pargo (Red Snapper) with it. One of the best meals I ever had anywhere was when I ordered it with Filet Mignon (Lomito), but I don't eat red meat anymore. This visit was no exception; there was no way it could be beat! Finished a beautiful dinner with his Coconut Flan, which is also a 10 out of 10. I almost never eat desert, but this is one the 5 best I've ever had in my life (the others were also Custards; a Maple Rye Creme Brule), so I get it every time. Just Sublime

After a long hot walk we stopped in on the recommendation from another couple at our hotel. We were cheerfully greeted in Spanish, English, French and Italian and had two ice cold cervesa as well as some outstanding veggie lasagna Really pretty setting just outside the National Park.

We'd dinner in the El GIrasol. It was very delicious. Also the service was very friendly. This is really one of the best Italian Restaurants we've visited during our vacation in Costa Rica. It's not cheap but the quality of the food is very good. Don't forget to make a reservation in advance there.

So here is what we ordered:
1 Vegetarian Burrito (3,000 colones)
1 Vegetarian Sandwich (2,200 colones)
1 Mango juice (1,000 colones)
1 black coffee (700 colones)
Plus tax!
So besides the fact that the food was too expensive, the portions could and should be bigger.
The burrito had too much cheese, and the Sandwich was too simple an lacked some creativity.
The food was tasty but should be much better value for money.

Hitting a sweet spot in the midst of Cahuita highway. Just a few tables over looking a gravel parking lot off the busy highway makes for an interesting languid leaning into flaky, crispy éclairs and juicy tres leches.
One request: lose the plastic casing for the tres leches and use cardboard, banana leaf or paper packaging instead.

Ate here on our last night .... if only we had tried it earlier. The pizza was huge, fantastic with a beautiful thin base; the pasta was freshly made and scrumptious; the service was excellent and everything about the place felt fresh. And, to add, a sloth came visiting whilst we ate.

it's a bar in front of the beach where you can enjoy a drink and something to eat, do not expect fresh or delicious food!
