Bridge of Allan (Scots: Brig Allan, Scottish Gaelic: Drochaid Alain) is a town in the Stirling council area in Scotland, just north of the city of Stirling. It lies on the Allan Water, a northern tributary of the River Forth, built largely on the well-wooded slopes of the Westerton and Airthrey estates, sheltered by the Ochil Hills from the north and east winds. Most of the town is to the east of the river; the bridge is part of the A9, Scotland's longest road, while the railway line and the M9 pass to the west of the river. Bridge of Allan railway station is on the Edinburgh to Dunblane Line.

some friends and myself went to Hermann's for our birthday dinner, as usual it did not disappoint. The cullen skink is delicious as always and the wild mushroom and tarragon soup was 2nd choice and one of my favourite soups, tough call. The steaks are cooked to perfection and pudding raspberry and almond tart finished the meal off...fabulous!

Beautiful quite setting, private Gardens and large car park. open 7 days lunch and dinner
We visited Vecchia Bologna for a meal along with our business colleagues. It was an excellent meal. The food was outstanding top quality, service was impeccable and the ambience & decor was brilliant. This is definitely one of the top quality restaurants near the Bridge of Allan. I had the mussels in garlic which gets bit messy if you are game but tasted brilliant. For mains I had the gnocchi which was awesome as well. We had gone for lunch. Guess the ambience at dinners might be very different with the lights etc. better to make a booking when you plan to go here. Highly recommended place. One of the best meals I have had .

After touring the castle we stopped at a couple places to eat late lunch but neither were open. This was only place open on the street and it was a good option. My wife liked her toasty and we had two big hot chocolates. Great for a cold day.

Modern Italian Restaurant Ideal For Lunch And Business Meetings During The Day And Night, Serving A La Carte Meals With The Emphasis On Daily Specials.
First visit to this restaurant and impressed with the general ambiance, service, wines. The main courses were excellent but we were both disappointed with our starters both of which were drenched in olive oil. The bread of my Bruschetta was soggy and my wife's tomato and onion salad was swimming in oil.

Sensitively restored and brimming with countryside charm, The Meadowpark offers British pub hospitality. Mixing classic recipes and modern dishes, the menu is dictated by the seasons, with daily-changing specials also on offer. The bar is amply stocked with fine wines and smooth cask ales, and chunky wood furnishings and quirky décor make for a homely, relaxed ambience in the dining room. A menu just for kids offers fun yet nutritious choice for younger diners.
Another great visit to The Meadowpark. It was really busy when we visited, great to see as you expect it to be quiet with it being January but nothing was a bother. Food was delicious and staff as welcoming as ever!

My daughter and I enjoyed the Tearoom's lovely traditional afternoon tea, as a pre-birthday treat. The tasty sandwiches were freshly prepared with plenty of filling and the cake selection was varied and extremely yummy - scones get a particular mention. This was our first visit to this somewhat hidden gem but definitely won't be the last!

Been here quite a few times over the years. As usual the food was delicious (although is it controversial to say the chips are as good as some places?), but I particularly love the milkshakes here. I got the chocolate milkshake which was amazing and I was highly impressed that with the recent news on the environmental impact plastic straws have, that I was given an old fashioned stripey cardboard straw. So, thankyou Allan water for being one the first places to completely lose the plastic straw.

I often visit here when in Stirling and staying at the premier inn across then road. Really great place, nice ambience, nice staff, great freshly cooked food...and ill be back again, but the cappuccinos vary between excellent..and a dire poor imitation of a latte. I'll admit its a bit of a bugbear of mine...the inability to recognise the difference between a decent cappuccino and a latte and how its not just the type of cup/glass they are served in.
