I was in a party of 6, the hotel was recommended by a local. We got the personal touch immediately which impressed me greatly. The food was very tasty and the manager and waiter Erik spent time talking to us. I would love to come back again but I won't be in Jasna again any time soon. But I recommend the restaurant completely.

Beautiful place, nice and peaceful atmosphere, professional and highly kind staff and waiters, fine and fresh food, good wines.....Nothing else than perfect for this restaurant belonging to Partizan Hotel. Just go and enjoy!

The Kamenná chata pod Chopkom (the Stone chalet under the Chopok mountain, or ‘Kamienka’ for fans) used to be a legendary mountain hut in the Low Tatra Mountains. The beloved tiny hut always provided meals and beds for hikers and skiers, no matter how many and what time they came. Mountain lovers had no problem to stay in long queue and wait for herbal teas and sweet dumplings.
Few years ago financial oligarchs (owners of the Jasná valley) reconstructed the nearby Rotunda restaurant. Modern building (glass and steel) is as impersonal as their owners.
Mountain lovers always preferred the Kamienka hut. The hut closed for reconstruction in 2017. The Kamienka hut badly needed bigger restaurant. There was no toilet, just a romantic wooden loo. The Kamienka hut opened in January 2018. The restaurant is three times as big as before. There are real toilets. More windows make for brighter place. Good. The food belt is longer and choice is better than before. OK. The only thing lost is the soul. The Kamienka is as soulless, sterile and impersonal as the Rotunda of oligarchs. The old Kamienka hut had a unique genius loci, but you can see it no more. Functional Seating, big windows, food belt you can find in any fastfood. By the way, stone is absent in the Stone Chalet. You can, of course, enjoy steel pipes and industrial lights in this food factory. Hey tourist, come fast in and fast out!
You do not know that you are somewhere. No memories of the past seven decades of the unique place. The ‘no place’ building could be a standard eatery in standard small town. Chance lost. Pity.

Veľmi pekne zrekonštruovaná koliba s vhodnými doplnkami. Jedlo ugrilujú rovno pred vašimi očami na ohnisku.... milý personál, vhodné na rôzne akcie.

príjemná reštaurácia na konci Brezna s veľmi dobrou kuchyňou, boli sme tam viackrát a vždy sme boli veľmi spokojní. Príjemná a rýchla obsluha. Pretože varia podľa objednávky, príprava niektorých jedál môže trvať aj 30-40 minút, ale stojí za to čakať. Veľmi dobrý mobiliár v reštaurácií, príjemné prostredie. Odporúčam

One day before Christmas Eve we visited Elf restaurant in Brezno. It is little bit difficult to find the entrance of the restaurant. You have to go inside under the gate (Tatrabanka passage) from the M.R.Stefanika square. Then you will see nice reconstructed building. Interior of the restaurant is really nice. It is furnitshed and decorated in Lord of the Rings trilogy style. We were ten people group without the reservation. Due to date and time restaurant was empty and we did not wait long time for our orders. To be friendly with cook we decided to have reduced type of dishes. We were very satisfied with the meal. Cuisine is typical slovak and international central european. Waiters should be more polite and emphatetic. When I would like to have an espresso, please do not offer me "picolo" twice :-D.
But otherwise I recommend.

Koliba pri jazere is located 40 km to east from Banská Bystrica, in the picturesque surroundings of the cottage area Krpáčovo, which is part of the Low Tatras National Park South. The main domain of the Koliba is a restaurant in classic Slovak style with traditional kitchen. Accommodation in loft rooms is also available. Krpáčovo, same as all the southern slopes of the Low Tatras and the whole Horehronie region use to be a paradise for hikers and bikers.

Beautiful valley with small lake where you can also swim. Koliba is pretty good restaurant with good (but nothing extra) simple and cheap food. Worth to stay here for quick lunch - or just one Pils - by the way...

We have stopped here several times as my wife comes from the area and we stay here when visiting family.
We stopped in the apartments which are opposite the pension, they are also owned by Pension Rojas. They have excellent facilities which include a large garden with table tennis, a children's playground and a small outdoor swimming pool.
The apartments are well equipped and nicely furnished and decorated.
Also I would recommend their restaurant, they serve beautiful traditional Slovak food at very reasonable prices.

Pizzeria La Trattoria sa výrazne zlepšila ako tu začal pracovať Taliansky pizzaiolo Sergia, ktorý Pizzu robí fakt výbornú. Snáď si kvalitu udržia aj naďalej. Obsluha dobrá a rýchla, výhodou je vonkajšia terasa a dvor kde sa môžu hrať deti.
