This is my second review
We live about 25 minutes away in Santo Domingo. There is obviously local Dominican pizza, Ole Pizza (which is pretty good for 350.00 pesos, the best cheap pizza ), Dominos and Pizza Hut.
I think this spot has the best pizza around. We get the cheese pizza and ask for extra garlic on half and a side of sauce for pizza crust.
The crust was perfectly crunchy and flavorful. The sauce was simple but delicious
And the cheese complemented the crust and sauce.
Highly recommended

The seafood dinners my wife and I enjoyed here were delicious, beautiful, and satisfying without being generous to a fault. Just right for us. Not inexpensive, this experience was well worth the financial obligation......whereas time investment a little less so. In a restaurant where there are less than 40% of tables occupied, in excess of an hour from order to presentation seemed long. Interminable one might say. This was our farewell dinner as we prepared to leave DR after a prolonged stay, and though it took longer than I might have liked, there are worse things than being marooned on a tropical island in a premium restaurant, and we will very certainly revisit Boca Marina once again on our return.

Atmosphere (at night): excellent view if seated near the sea, you can admire the other restaurants on both sides. Good music, sometimes you may find live music sets.
Service: waiters are amazing, continuous service and asking for anything required. Highly recommend to ask for any suggestion about the menu. If you visit, ask for FIDEL as waiter.
Food: no words! an excellent gastronomic experience. Be aware is a fine dining restaurant. Do not wait for low prices.

Reading some of the European/American reviews here makes me a little angry. You are in the Dominican Republic, Latinos are loud and live differently than "we" do. If you want a quiet beach experience and haute cuisine don't even leave your country.
That being said, I was at Bocana on a Wednesday for a lovely day. I paid 520 Pesos (11€/$) for a good fish filet with tostanas and a large Presidente beer. The staff was attentive, I was given a lounge chair at no extra charge, and people were watching my big travel backpack while I was enjoying the crystal-clear waters.
Yes, there are a couple of street vendors, masseuses and banana boat folks asking you every 5 minutes, but a simple "no, Gracias, ya tengo todo que necesito" helps. After 30min I was through all of them and had my peace for the day.
So, if you want to see Dominicanos having some fun, listen to Salsa and enjoy an amazing beach cove, come here! If not, just stay on your cruise ship or your home in Ohio/Berlin/Paris/...

El Puerco Rosado is a small casual restaurant located directly on the beach of Boca Chica. It has a long history, but since 2001 we devote ourselves energetically to the felicity of our customers. Here Italy meets the Dominican Republic. We offer both Italian and local cuisine with an international flair. The menu is vast and varied, consisting of a wide selection of pasta, meat and fish but also sandwiches, salads, homemade cakes, fresh fruit juices and organic coffee. You can decide whether to eat in the dining room or in the cool shade of our garden. Snacks and juices can also be served directly to the beach to spend the day in total relax. See you there!
We had a very nice lunch (fish filet in lemon sauce and one in coconut sauce) at this restaurant with a good recommendation from the waitress. We were offered a little apero and desert on the house as it we were there on Xmas day......MoreThank you very much! We hope to see you again soon at our restaurant.

I ate here 3 times while in Boca Chica. The prices are excellent for the portions served. Unlike most restaurants, the menu price has the 18% tax included. No surprises when you receive the bill. The Sandwich I had was my least favorite meal. The spaghetti with bacon was great! The family size La Terrazza pizza was huge and delicious!

The Village on the Beach is a Charming beachfront Bed & Breakfast on the sandy beach of, Boca Chica, Dominican Republic.
I lunched at Village On The Beach three times during my December trip. The first time, unfortunately, I was scheduled to dive 1 hour after we arrived; I ordered the special of the day, in hopes it would arrive quickly, but it took nearly 40 minutes to get my entree. It also took the waitress a long time to bring the check - and I got short-changed by the cashier; fortunately Thaylor, the owner, was right there, and he got it sorted out.
The following day I had plenty of time, so I ate there and enjoyed my meal very much. And the last day, I had a whole grilled fish 'a la plancha,' and it was excellent.
I WILL go back next time I dive in Boca Chica. Worth the wait!

Ate here everyday once We found it. Never a bad meal or drink. Loud central location so beware the roaring motorbike! Very European (translation: overly casual service, unhurried atmosphere, smoking permitted...) but food quality made us go out of our way daily to visit. True gem. Legit. The literal Italian Real Deal!
