On the 1. January we couldn't find an open restaurant in Lavorgo or Faido. But we were lucky when we found Grill Stazione in Biasca.
We ordered each a salad as a starter and a pizza as a main dish. My boyfriend had a pizza "Vegeterian", I had the pizza "Grill" (with Parmesan, Parma ham and Rucola).
Both pizzas had a lot on top. They were so large that they hung over the plate. We couldn't finish them and took the rest with us.
The salad had a very tasty dressing.
The waitress was quite grumpy, but we imagine that she maybe had a hard day. The restaurant was packed at 9.30 when we arrived. And she seemed overworked. So that probably was the reason for her mood.
As we enjoyed the food, the quick serving, the possibility to eat late we will come again.

We were on our way from Tuscany to Holland and as there was an announced two hour waiting time for the Gotthart tunnel, we decided to skip the typical petrol forecourt Sandwich and to go of the highway for a proper lunch instead.
We found Al Giardinetto quite quickly and as there were quite some people sitting on the Terrace, it looked a safe choice.
The service staff didn't look particularly cheerful or enthusiastic whilst taking our order or when serving. The food was of mediocre quality and the Gnocchi in tomato sauce of my son was actually quite bad bad (some potato balls were tasting rancid).
The above combined with the (typical Swiss) high price of 95CHF for 4 simple pasta dishes and 4 softdrinks, makes that I'm not too enthusiastic about this place.

Personale gentilissimo e cordiale,

I'm not use to eat in this bar/restourant. People is kind, nothing negative to say. It's too close to my house. But it di happen that I had to celebrate the birthday of a colleague of mine. And he told me " you live close to the place that cooks the best cordon bleu of all Ticino" "which is ?! " I asked. and he told me " Ristorante Apino". And so we did, Their Cordon bleu are so big that with one of them can eat two people. and very very tasty. I suggest to all of you that want to taste a great, big Cordon Bleu, to stop in this place.

3 of us went to check this place based on the review from trip advisor. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, we had T-bone steak and lamb. The hosts were very friendly and even though we don't speak Italian, we managed to communicate with effort on both sides. The price was very reasonable. We highly recommend this place!

This is a place where the language of good food transcends any barriers. Expect heartfelt service, chilled atmosphere and seriously good food in generous quantities. Nothing fancy but it feeds your body and soul. We reveled in the hearty Minestrone, tasty main courses and gigantic desserts. This is the first restaurant I will visit when next I am blessed to return to Ticino. Splendido!

The pizzas were very tasty. The service was average. Kids can play in front of the terras. 18 euro for a pizza is quite expensive
