A stylish beach town on France’s southwestern coast, Biarritz was once the vacation spot for nobility and is now Europe’s surfing capital. It’s experienced a tourist renaissance—summers are busy. Biarritz lacks the Riviera’s glitz, but you’ll see affluent vacationers in designer gear and surfers in flip-flops, and hear French, Spanish and Basque. The Grande Plage is the center of the action. Behind it, visit the restored, Art Deco casino and wander the streets down to the old port to the west.

Tucked away in a remote residential part of Biarritz, this restaurant offers the complete package: great food, great service, nice atmosphere. The dishes are refined and carefully composed: the chef experiments with a range of unusual flavors such as cardamom-infused carrot mash, or popcorn-flavored foam to go with a soft chocolate fondant. And they all work beautifully. We liked the staff, friendly and jovial but discreet and patient with our mistakes with the french language. We definitely recommend this place to whoever enjoys fine dining.

Was there as a couple. The set up is calm and a bit away from the Biarritz bustle which was a plus for us, probably the only one. The homemade cocktails are passable and overpriced for a resort town. The menus are basic fares with low quality ingredients resulting in a bad overall experience. Even if the service is friendly it does not offset the low quality of ingredients. Ended with a dinner at 95 euros for two, which was not worth 40. Fortunately the company was great ;-)
Avoid the place. Not worth your time and money.

Stoked from a great surf, I got back and we made plans for dinner. Tonight we were off to L’Impertinent which has an excellent reputation (and a Michelin star). The food was outstanding, and the wine we chose was the first of a couple of “gifts” in a Premier Cru Montrachet. We started outside which was nice, until one bloke lit up a cigar and then we moved inside. It was a warm night, but a great night and we needed the twenty minute stroll home big time.
The food was just sensational. I'll write about it separately in more detail, but suffice to say I highly recommend this restaurant despite the expense.

Quite superb just two guys running a small place with a small menu and doing it really well, what else do you need if you want great tasting meat and the cooking happening in full view, great bottle of medoc too, it's Biarritz prices but as a meal for two it was good value as it was so fresh and so tasty

They have really nice fresh tapas but it is not the only place in Biarritz. There are loads of that kind of place almost the same menu thats why they had to be more welcoming to the tourists i think...

Dined here for lunch and dinner in a short stay. It was just excellent.
Fresh seafood, interesting flavours without the price tag or formality of a fine dining restaurant.
The squid, oysters and scallops were brilliant. Highly recommended visiting (once, twice or every day you're in Biarritz).

What can i say. We had starters and 1 salad to share. An Chardonnay bottle and we had a lovely time and dinner for just 45 euro. Owners very friendly and the little drinks offered a surprise. Thank you very much for a lovely evening and please go there. I would advise to every body.

Recommended by our LP guide, we had to book on night one for night two as the place was packed. Very popular with the locals which is always a good start! The burgers were great - very tasty and fresh and there are veggie and chicken options if you don't want beef. Do bear in mind that the British version of well done/medium/rare translates in French into medium/rare/could be revived by a decent vet - worth remembering if you do have the beef! My husband asked for well done on this basis and declared his burger delicious but it was definately on the medium to rare side! Friendly, professional service despite our terrible French and they do have outdoor tables for the good weather days!

We offer for lunch : Our sandwiches on crusty bread , salads, seasonal dishes , slate cheese and desserts. For the evening : We are on a concept of meals cheeses , slates ( for 1 person) with salad , candied and wines that can be granted to each cheese and dessert .Moreover, if the products you liked you can find the next shop. To be sure to get a table we recommend booking. See you soon
Really great if you like cheese. You really do not need to love cheese, but that is the only thing on the menu. The owner, Michael, is really into cheese and knows his stuff. Reasonably priced and interesting concept of having a cheese (and bread) meal. Can match with wine samples for a very reasonable price, making it a ver interesting experience. Not very big, probably should make Reservations as a few people were turned away.

The food here is fine - it is fresh and tastes average. The salad was big, but fairly plain. Expensive for a 'diner' type experience. The staff were friendly. There was nothing wrong, just nothing special.Indeed, our food is fairly plain but everything is homemade ; that makes it special !
