Bexhill-on-Sea (often simply Bexhill) is a seaside town situated in the county of East Sussex in South East England. An ancient town and part of the local-government district of Rother, Bexhill is home to a number of archaeological sites, a Manor House in the Old Town, an abundance of Edwardian and Victorian architecture, and the famous De La Warr Pavilion: today a centre for contemporary art – which has featured the work of Andy Warhol, Cerith Wyn Evans and Richard Wilson amongst others – and an auditorium, where Bob Marley had his first UK appearance and has since seen performances by Elvis Costello, Goldfrapp, Ray Davies, Years and Years, Pati Smith and Lauri Anderson.

This is just a lovely place to sit, relax and have a cup of tea or coffee. We have not eaten there but the food looks very appetising. A lovely couple if owners who are genuinely interested in offering a good service. This is why...MoreThank you very much. Appreciated.

Bistro 45 is nestled on the esplanade with a fantastic view of the channel and is run by a brother and sister team. The menu is a mix of modern british with a retro twist all freshly prepared using the finest locally sourced ingredients. The starters range from seared scallops to homemade soups and pate, the main courses include Sirloin steak, Fresh Moules cooked in 45 different sauces and vegetarians need not feel left out with crepes stuffed with 7 different vegetables and to follow a delicious creme brulee or a melting chocolate cake with hot chocolate sauce may be just the thing to finish off your meal. The food is accompanied by an extensive menu of continental beers and for the wine lovers there is a list of fine wines

A brilliant Italian restuarnt in Bexhill. Quite unexpected! Very busy and the most fantastic seafood pasta I had ever had. Brilliant and a must for those who love Italian cooking and happen to be in Bexhill on Sea
This is an excellent Italian restaurant. The food is all cooked fresh, it’s tasty and it is an authentic Italian menu. I have been here several times and not had a bad meal. It is very good value for money and the staff are friendly and very attentive. Portions are big and I often find it difficult to finish my main if I have had a starter. A very warm and welcoming restaurant!

Authentic Nepalese Cuisine
You're in Bexhill so you are not going to find haute cuisine in flashing surrounding but the Gurkhas provides an acceptable space to eat in and good value, well cooked food. The menu offers something for everyone from the mildest of dishes to something that will stay with you for sometime to come.
On a quiet Tuesday evening, the service can not be faulted - quick, friendly and attentive. Try the Gurkha beer; good value and better tasting that the Tiger beer. We paid £40 for two starters, two mains, bread and rice, and 4 drinks. I will come back next time I am in town.

Turned up for a lunchtime meal, the chips were mostly small hard bits, the fish batter looked like it had been refried - dark brown and hard, the chicken was also a dissapointment overcooked, very hard and stringy, the condiments were not good either & they have the cheek to charge for them on top of overcharging for the main course, they might have won this one but they are not winners because we would not go there again!

I keep coming back to this place. It reminds me of the best of school dinners from years ago but they do the most amazing ice cream and good home desserts. A big plus is the very friendly staff.

Sue and I invite you to enjoy something of the continental cafe culture here inside or weather permitting, 'Alfresco', in our lovely south facing garden. Our menu is full of suggestions of what you can order and there is also a Sandwich menu and one for our tea and coffee too. For our cakes, desserts and specials; just pop in and ask about todays specials. There is also plenty of choice for vegetarians (vegans too) and we love to cater for children. We shop on Western Road every day for our meat and vegetables. We choose our suppliers carefully and aim to produce the finest ingredients, locally sourced or produced. Our coffees and teas are of the best quality and wherever possible from Rainforest Alliance producers. Your food is prepared to order so please be patient. The cafe can be very busy at certain times of the day, however you can be sure we will always try to serve you as quickly as we can. Please make yourself at home and peruse our menus before ordering. We hope you will enjoy your 'visita' to our cafe.
First lunch here and most impressed. A good range of home-cooked food at a reasonable price. The place was pretty full and I can see why. I particularly liked the menu with its mix of English and Spanish cuisine. The cafe is well decorated and very clean. There is even a pleasant garden at the back. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were made to feel at home.

Blueberries Coffee Shop provides freshly cooked breakfasts to order, freshly made coffee, Tea, Home-made Cakes and sandwiches in a sit down or takeaway venue. A friendly welcoming coffee shop where service counts.
Couldn't fault the delicious, huge slice of Bakewell sponge.
Asked for a decaff latte and a normal one was prepped. All credit to staff who told me their mistake and made me another coffee, rather than just pretending it was decaff.
Staff were lovely and friendly. Newspapers were available to read.
It just felt a bit empty. No background music and an echoy environment meant that the place felt soulless. The location is next to a busy road, so often the sounds you hear are trucks rumbling past. Some music would cover this up and add some life to the place. It just needs something extra to push it into 5 star for me.
