Delicious and extensive range of crepes - the Fouenantaise was my choice, goats cheese with prunes - it was great. My partner enjoyed salmon with a lemon cream sauce. We both had apples with caramel to finish - lovely. A warm welcome, nice wine and friendly service too - can understand why this place is so popular. A friend was unable to get a table the other day and has had to book in advance - this may be the best thing to do if you plan to visit in the evening.

Creparie
A family meal in the evening. The ham & mushroom crepe was fine and followed by a desert crepe of apple and ice cream. The food was surprisingly filling. Service was quick and efficient and it did a brisk trade with most of the guests being French, which I took as a good sign.

When in Brittany, eat buckwheat crèpes (galettes). I picked this place because it got good reviews and we weren't disappointed. My husband had the galette basque which was excellent, and me the complete, as always. Then we indulged in crepes for dessert, his with Madagascar flavoured butter and mine with caramel. OMG.
The next day we were back for more... When in Brittany, you've got to eat crepes!
p.s. we also had a few good laughs with the super sweet people who run the place.

The only unlimited sea food buffet in South Finistere for 24,90EUR per guest !Enjoy a cocktail at the bar and eat in a warm and design atmosphere in our restaurant...
We went just before they ended for the night but were still happy to serve us, Mrs youknowthescore had the set menu, the Fruit de Mer starter was massive and could of been a main course, my starter of scallops was also large and good value for money. The rest of the meal was also very good and very well priced.

The restaurant is well located and overlooks the Odet river. The service was a little slow, but amazingly, this was the first place on our trip that served Moules (in May). We tried both the curried moules and the moules mariniere, both of which were...Moremerci pour votre commentaire au plaisir de vous revoir à Bénodet cordialement Gautier

Eat here twice during our stay and really enjoyed it. The service was excellent, good menu choices and nice wine list, perhaps a little price but the exchange rates does not help!! Nice combination of seafood and traditional French and they were happy to split meals for our two young girls.

We visited here twice, having the set €39 menu and enjoyed everything. A couple of dishes were a little heavy on seasoning for me but not so much it deter me eating here again. English menu available if needed and waitress helped my limited French with grace. We ate inside and the friendly staff ensured a lovely atmosphere as the tables filled up. Everything that came from the kitchen looked good and ample sized portions.

The food overall was not bad, there is no question. Some things have been even very good, the wine and starters for example, some others only average, the Deserts for example. We had the menu decouverte and the more expensive menu plasir. The cheaper menu was a positive surprise, for the menu plaisir the fish of the main course was disappointing in terms of quality. The price compared to value is still ok, maybe a bit overpriced. The atmosphere is snobbish. The service made a bad impression. Therefore we would probaly not eat there again.

We had dinner here one Saturday night in August. It wasn't too late but the place was almost empty. After enquiring if we had Reservations (we didn't) and checking the reservation book, we were shown a table. We had a nice first course and fish course with a bottle of wine for 68 euros (for two) which I would say is about average value for money. The food was quite good, the service fine, until two of the female servers started having a heated argument that lasted for about ten minutes - in full hearing distance of the few diners who remained in the dining room. This certainly put a damper on a meal which would otherwise have been fine. Maybe they were untrained summer help - nevertheless it was very unprofessional.

Located 15 minutes from Quimper on the road to Bénodet, 5 minutes from the sea (Bénodet), La Forge d'Antan, a real institution in Clohars Fouesnant welcomes you in a bucolic and enchanting. Jeanne and Jean-Paul welcome you to their home in an intimate and personal atmosphere. Chef Jean-Paul's inspiration is based on seasonal cooking. The home also includes 3 comfortable guest rooms and an independent apartment on site.
Lovely, elegant place. A little bit old fashioned decoration, but tasteful and cosy... Affectionate crew. High quality restaurant in province... In Paris such restaurants are fully booked two months on advance! Somewhere between the ocean and the middeval townies... Classical with modern touch.
