This past Saturday when visiting Balestrate on Sicily we stopped at Bacco's Pub. We enjoyed the great service and the food was tremendous. The courses started with octopus, and pasta with sardines, and went right through to a delicious swordfish steak. I am looking forward to stopping by Bacco's again on our next trip to Sicily.

So, the interior is kitschy and the proprietors don't speak English, however if you go in with the right attitude, you'll have a great evening. Don't be in a hurry, ask the staff what's fresh, and order lots of the house wine. There is a printed menu, but order based on what they recommend. All the food was tasty and we ate family style. The family that runs the place is super friendly, just go with the flow.

Giovanni serves fresh sea food at this quaint restaurant. Very friendly staff and good service. The menu has a nice selection of appetisers, initial course and main meals. We enjoyed their grilled swordfish, boiled octopus, spaghetti nero, buseta with grilled tiger prawns and seafood salad. All were fresh and delicious. Good value too!

Large group with no reservation and late in the night is what dropped in and they handled it beautifully!! Service was outstanding and incredibly quick. Absolutely every dish ordered of the 14 was top notch and delicious. Pasta, beef & seafood can be found here and you can't go wrong with any. Had we been there longer I can say we easily would have been back within a day to enjoy another meal. They generously provided the table with grappa at the end of the night in honor of the newly weds in our party. Super friendly service and generous portions. If you are in Balestrate you need to have a meal here!

I took takeaway pizzas to our house while staying in Balestrate, and we didn't think the pizzas rated as high as the ones we had at Cavallino Bianco. The restaurant felt more geared towards the tourist market as well, and although the people were friendly I didn't enjoy the atmosphere.

Very clean and smart decor. Friendly service, and reasonably priced fantastic ice cream. Just what we needed to cool down. Cash only.

We stayed at the Casa Vacanze Playa in Balestrate which is next to Pizzeria Lo Squalo. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, even though language was a slight barrier. The pizzas and the pasta dishes are delicious. I would certainly recommend anyone staying in...MoreGrazie

I spent just one day and one night in Balestrate,Sicily,Italy, however I was blessed picking this restaurant because the gorgeous view and the menu. Very elegant, excellent food and wines, we tried to get the most from the place. Very romantic atmosphere, nice service, I could never complain about this place but the price! It`s nice but for a couple splitting an appetizer and one main dish, plus a bottle of wine we paid $200, but I would go again because was worthy and there is no other place better than that one to have what we had.

Restaurant seafood
We dined at the restaurant 3 times in a week, would highly recommend. Very friendly and helpful staff, we weren't rushed, the restaurant is very clean and spacious with plenty of room between tables, you can dine inside or out, the chef was attentive and came round to check we were happy with the food. The food was excellent - the mussels were the largest and tastiest I've ever eaten, the swordfish was cooked to perfection, the pistachio mousse was heavenly and the Limoncello (home made) was divine! Will definitely be back!
