The Hawk Conservancy Trust is an award winning visitor attraction set in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow, there are over 130 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in the spectacular daily flying displays in one of the three flying arenas, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects. Every visitor can meet a British bird of prey and there are extra activities during weekends and school holidays. The Hawk Conservancy Trust is a conservation charity with a Mission to conserve birds of prey. The Trust has worked in the fields of conservation, education, rehabilitation and research of birds of prey for many years.
Been to this place several times.. I wish I lived closer because I’d come here all the time..
the displays are fantastic.. (even when Sweeny Todd the snowy owl decides he’s not going home)
the staff and their knowledge is second to none..
a wonderful place and a fantastic cause to get behind.

Thruxton Motorsport Centre offers visitors the chance to drive their dream cars on the UK's fastest race circuit plus we have an outdoor Kart Centre, Skid Pan driving facility and 4x4 Off Road driving Track. We also host the UK's premier race meetings including British Touring Cars and British Superbikes, British Trucks and many more inbetween.
I had the pleasure of driving a Porsche Cayman, a Ferrari 430 spider, and a 458 spider. To say that I had the time of my life would be an under estimate!! All the staff were great, and I would recommend this to anybody. They have experiences to suit all.

Open all year round, Finkley Down Farm has a massive indoor play barn with different areas for different age ranges. There's lots of outdoor play as well, with pedal go carts, mini ride on tractors, sandpit and trampolines. Throughout the day there are animal handling and feeding activities for children to get involved in. Reptiles and Birds Of Prey have now been added to a Farm-tastic family day out. Pony rides (extra charge) take place at weekends and in school holidays. Events are held during the year with the Easter Extravaganza, Superheroes Weekend, Teddy Bears Picnic, Summer Spectacular. Halloween Half Term and Magical Christmas. Watch out for appearances by children's TV characters such as Peppa Pig and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
there is plenty of things for the children to do,from pony riding ,to indoorplay areas,i liked the indoor areas as they were different sections for age appropriate, my grandchildren kove going here and its quite cheap for a family to do ,would highly recommend

I attended here on Saturday as my nephew was in a performance for Stage Coach. It was the first time I had attended this theater and found it to be quite charming. The bar area is huge and there is plenty of room to sit with a drink before the performance. The Seating in the auditorium is very comfy and from where we were sitting there seemed to be no restricted view seats. If I had one criticism, its that the children were not wearing microphones and sometimes they were hard to hear. Not sure if that is the venue's fault or the Stage School staff, but it was a little disappointing. Overall I enjoyed the theatre, is a very nice venu.

We read about this museum online, having just moved to the area we thought be good starting point to learn about the local history.
Was a delightful gentleman when we arrived so polite and friendly who just wanted to welcome. The exhibition and museum was brilliant and informative. We are impressed with the level.of detail and effort put into the background, giving it an authentic feel, you don't get that in museum you pay for let alone free. Most impressed, for an hour out of your day just to learn a little local. Worth a locals visit and recommended to everyone. Thank you for being so friendly

A pleasant walk around a lakes and waterways, there is quite a bit of renovation taking place, so it should get even better. There well tarmacked paths, some wildlife, in and out of the water. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead.

Having received this vineyard tour, tasting and lunch as a 50th wedding anniversary gift from some very good friends we booked a day which turned out damp after all this lovely weather but it actually made no difference. Hugh's knowledge of the vines was amusingly and interestingly explained along side the different vines then back a short walk to the tasting room where white and rose Cottonworth sparkling wines and a white and red from their French vines were tasted and the procedures from vine to bottle again amusingly explained. Then a lovely buffet lunch was set up (it would have been nice to have had a glass of wine with it) (maybe a future idea Hugh)

This is a comparatively tiny museum, looking at the work of Army Chaplains through history. A fairly niche subject, likely of interest only to a certain audience but the museum does a good job of conveying the story and the curator, who gave us a tour is clearly passionate about his subject.
Worth visiting if you have a particular interest.

Came to check out the local walking areas. The lake and habitat was beautiful and well maintained.
We felt the lack of parking facilities and odd sign posting was an issue. Especially as we do not know the reserve and our first time at the location, we were going round and round in circles at one point.

Andover Cricket Club is the town cricket club that has just celebrated its 150th birthday. The London Road Sports Ground has hosted cricket for a number of years and is well renowned for being an idyllic setting to watch the quintessential English game. Games are played throughout the summer but to be guaranteed of seeing a match it is best to visit on a Saturday between April and September.
I visited Andover Cricket Club with some cricket mad friends of mine and their children. Apparently it was the first game of their season and they were having a friendly against a local side. There was loads of space for the kids to play in and several of the players and members spoke to us making us feel welcome. The bar was open all day, the ice cream man turned up and they even allowed us to eat some of their cricket tea!
It is completely free, you can wander in or park up (careful you don't park in hitting distance!). We will definitely visit again when it warms up!
