Arzachena (Gallurese: Alzachèna, Sardinian: Altzaghèna) is a town and comune in the province of Sassari, northern Sardinia, the second largest island off the coast of Italy. Arzachena lies half way between the original Costa Smeralda resort and Porto Rafael, both founded in the late 1950s. After Olbia and Tempio Pausania, it is the third largest commune in Gallura by inhabitants.

Sardinia's Azarchena region is well known for great restaurants, so why would you even consider choosing this mediocre place over so many other restaurants/cafes in the area.
Service deserves HALF A STAR, but food maybe TWO STARS, unless you prefer eating cheap pizzas instead of good pizza, and lobster linguini where you are picking, spitting and fighting with shells rather than enjoy pasta dish.
If you are used to good service and good food.......I would highly suggest to read my other Azarchena/Porto Cervo/Luscia de Vacca reviews. If you are used to horrible/grouchy service with maybe mediocre food, than you might just like La Rocca.
Just kidding, stay away from this grouchy place.

Reliably excellent, family-owned with great staff (who speak English if you're Italian isn't great). The pizza is very high standard and their Sardinian specialities are even better. I had the costata which was perfectly cooked.
Excellent decor, easy parking too. We always feel at home when we eat here with friends.

To be clear: my rating for LK is "good", but very good seemed closer than average. Reading the reviews below, as well as talking to staff in my hotel and viewing the plaudits on the restaurant's walls, I thought we were in for a Michelin-star quality meal, which, IMO, we weren't. Reviewers accurately capture the remoteness of the feeling of the place; you drive for miles barely seeing a house, let alone another commercial Enterprise. When you get there, you see that the place is well-sited, and basic but clean and pleasantly homey inside. As far as I could tell, they have only one Seating a night, at 8:30. We were about 10 minutes late, but almost half of the customers of the full restaurant came afterward, some much so.
As others have pointed out, there is no menu, our waiter did not speak to us in English and only in rushed Italian to tell us what each dish was, so we had no idea how many dishes we'd be getting or what they would be until they got there. And while we knew that the menu was generally set and the same for everyone, at least one table did see to be drinking a la carte wine, and at the end, numerous tables getting liquers and coffee, not clear if they were part of the meal or separately charged.
We received about 8 dishes within the first 5 minutes of sitting down, then probably about that many again for the rest of the meal. The food is good to very good, but it is consistently heavy--often fried, buttery/cheesy, etc.--and perhaps more importantly, IMO, not sufficiently differentiated (pastas and cheeses were too similar). There was only secondi, a small-ish portion of porchetto and a sausage, and I was saving room by leaving much of the primis because I didn't know what was coming. Everything was good or better, yet nothing was excellent. The wine is included in the 35 Euro price (not unreasonable) and was more than decent with that in mind.
In all, an interesting dining experience, just temper your expectations.

Indeed one of the most fashionable restaurant in costa smeralda this summer, always full of people (better to reserve a couple of days in advance), we got to wait 20 minutes to get the table even though we got a reservation.
The Buffet of side dishes was ok but nothing special, some of the veggies were also a bit too oily in my opinion.
The meat is served at the table in total Brazilian style.
Overall recommended

It takes a bit of getting used to when you are faced with so many choices regarding where and what to eat in Sardinia. The fish is fresh but no visit is complete unless you've had some roast suckling pig as done by the lovely folks at a variety of Agriturismo eateries. La Branu gives you amazing food - seven courses of it at a fantastic price without sacrificing quality or taste. This is not a quick meal...and you should leave a bit of space or you'd not have any for the highlight - the pork right at the end!

This place has everything. Ambiance, good food, generosity, service.
You pay 35 euro, and you get everything. It means starters, first courses, main courses, dessert, fruits, coffee and digestif, and above all, all you can drink of their own wine which is good.
Food is delicious, and made with love.
Enjoy the feast!

Where to start...
After our first meal at Parco degli Ulivi we immediately abandoned the idea that we'd visit other local restaurants. The food is stunning and clearly created by a passionate team who can't be praised enough, they understand what food should be and excel their own high standards.
Traditional dishes with modern twists are cooked to perfection are complemented by the typical Italian warmth and generosity that you would expect. Every day there were several off-menu dishes touting flavour combinations that were too interesting to pass up.
The allure to compliment each dish with a different glass of wine as picked by the sommelier was a treat which added to the overall experience that this place is something quite special. A trip to the wine cellar and a post dinner drink overlooking the beautiful Panorama puts Parco degli Ulivi head and shoulders above pretty much every other dining experience we've had.
Antonio and team, we'll see you soon!

Jaddhu restaurant, housed in an ancient "Stazzo Gallurese", set just 100 meters from La Prisgiona Nuraghe, is the ideal place to enjoy in peace and quiet Gallura dishes and Mediterranean cuisine, both meat and sea. You can choose to enjoy your meal inside the stazzo rooms, the veranda overlooking the garden, or between the millenarian nature surrounding the building. Jaddhu has a large park that will be the perfect place to let your children play. The restaurant is located a short distance from the most popular destinations of Costa Smeralda (3 km from Arzachena, 5 km from Cannigione, 10 km from Porto Cervo and Baja Sardinia). It 'easy to reach from Olbia-Costa Smeralda airport.
We were staying at the Jaddhu resort, but only managed to get in to the restaurant on our last night (we'd been getting back from sightseeing too late each night!).
We were so glad we did get to dine there as the food is absolutely out of this world. Possibly, one of the nicest meals we've ever had. The service was excellent and the waitress was happy to explain anything that we were unsure of. The atmosphere was lovely too (very obviously a place that the locals go to eat for a treat - so you know it's got to be good!).

Punta Baja is first of all a fantastic Neapolitan pizzeria, crowned by the typical wood oven that welcomes visitors. Here the real Neapolitan pizza, soft and crunchy from the ledge is prepared according to the rules of the strictest Neapolitan tradition. Immediately alongside the grill area is always hot and fills the air of Baja Sardinia aromas of the best meat and fish cooked on the grill. Pasta dishes and entrees complete gastronomic offer a unique in Baja. For a romantic dinner on the beach or an exit among friends, Punta Baja is an ideal location for a summer evening in Costa. See you there!
Wife and I went here for a romantic meal. The views are nice and the setting is lovely, especially once the sun sets and the candles are all lit, we had an issue with wasps buzzing around the table but the waiter lit an insence...MoreDear Alex H, really sorry for the wasps but is a common problem of all Sardinian bar & restaurants! We'll try to solve it! Thanks for the visit!
