Delightful local restaurant serving Middle Eastern/ North African inspired mezze dishes. Friendly service & Australian wine list. Perfect for couples, groups of friends & family dinners. Close to from Albert Park lake & the beach, only 3km from the CBD on the number 1 tram.
Still a good alternative to the usual pizza and pasta in the area. Dishes are good value for money, tasty and authentic.
Staff are friendly and helpful. A nice open fire in the back room.
Three of us had banquet #1 and it was filling. Easy Street parking as the restaurant is a short distance from the main accumulation of shops.

Taste the difference at Mediterraneo. Succulent award winning grass-fed aged steaks, fresh local fish & seafood and seasonal vegetables, all grilled to perfection using authentic Mallee Root Charcoal. Guaranteed gluten free, pure, natural flavours. In March 2017, Mediterraneo became the first independent restaurant to be accredited by Coeliac Australia for gluten free food service, those with gluten intolerance can dine with confidence here. Mediterraneo's extensive wine list has also won the prestige Two Glasses Award in the Gourmet Traveller Wine Magazine Wine List of the Year Awards in 2015 and 2016.
We dined at Mediterraneo in a group of 6, last Friday night. The location in Albert Park is central and makes for a nice stroll beforehand - plenty of nice smells from nearby grills to get the appetite going. Staff greeted and seated us in a friendly, efficient manner, and that impression lasted through the evening. We ordered a range of starters, and everyone was happy with their choice - I tried the smoked pork soup, and was pleased I’d done so. The mains likewise did not disappoint, my wife enjoying stuffed peppers and me a swordfish steak that was the best I have eaten - moist and flavoursome. The desserts were big enough to share, and the two of us couldn’t finish the tiramisu, though it was delicious. A couple of bottles of a full-bodied cab sav rounded things out perfectly. It was a memorable evening, with perfect food, pleasant atmosphere and good service.

Dining day or night, the view from The Point Restaurant is one of the best Melbourne has to offer. The space is stylish and modern, combining award winning cuisine and an impressive wine list.
Food was beautiful, we had the set menu, highly recommend. Each dish that came out was better than the one before. The services is world class, friendly and attentive. Beautiful atmosphere and the view was breathtaking. You have to try this place, it's not just a place to eat, but it's an experience and I will defiantly be returning. Couldn't fault one thing. Class and elegances, yet still warm and charming! <3

Roule Galette is a little piece of France in the city where you will find French staff, speaking the language of Voltaire who will serve you in a warm and intimate setting reminiscent of Montmartre in Paris. Music, whether Breton or French songs of the last century or more modern times will accompany your meal along with authentic Cider from the Pays d'Auge in Normandie, or Cotes du Rhone or Burgundy wines. Not to forget the inimitable Orangina.
There are so many restaurants to choose from in this area the competition must be fierce. Given they all seem to serve similar breakfast fare the only point of discrimination would be the level of customer service. At the Roule Galette we had standard eggs on toast and the waiter was very efficient and attentive. The atmosphere in the laneway is vibrant and adds to the dining experience.

Ciao Cielo - literally translated from Italian as Hello Sky - is a sparkling addition to the Melbourne restaurant landscape. Situated on lively Bay Street, in Port Melbourne, Inspired by Art Deco elements, Milano sophistication and the glamour of the 40's. Original floor to ceiling boards, beautiful lead light windows dating back to the old shop row days when hardware was the trade. A look at the portraits on the walls show a tribute to the very much loved and missed Lloyd and Mary Grand parents whom past in the Black Saturday fires Bryan's food is about strong italian flavours reflected in the abundance of amazing produce availiable locally in Victoria. Bryan is by no means a traditionalist, he believes in the right to be as creative as one desires with what you are inspired with.
This is quality stuff in a great ambience. Starters were scallops and king prawns in garlic aioli. Barramundi mains. Extras - just needed the rocket salad with parmesan, oil and balsamic. Excellent wines too. Service efficient snd with a smile. Pity we only found it on our last night in town...

Overlooking Albert park and breathtaking city views, Fitzrovia has pride of place in our beautiful Federation mansion house with pressed tin ceilings, hand-made brick work, stained glass, baltic pine floors and a host of wonderful original features. From 7am through till late at night, our kitchen produces some of the area's most innovative dishes, made entirely from local Victorian produce, with a strong European style. Our menus change regularly with the seasons, so take a look at our website to see what we are doing!
We've eaten at Fitzrovia more than a dozen times between last year and this one while living next door on holiday. This site only allows us to select a single meal but we've eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner with pleasure. The owners, Marco and Paul, have always welcomed us and taken the time to chat. No matter which meal, the menu items are consistently well prepared and tasty. Yesterday's fried eggs with sourough toast was excellent as usual while todays chicken salad on a roll w/ sidechips and salad w/ pomengranate was delicious. The front of house staff is always friendly, polite and helpful while those in the kitchen are well trained and talented. We would love to have this business near us at home in Boulder, CO!

Thankfully I was with my girlfriend who had been here before. She knew where to find the doorway! There’s no outside signage!
We walked into the dark and moody depths and had a great time. It was 10.30 on a Tuesday night and the place was full. Why wouldn’t it be? The wait staff were attentive and knowledgeable. The cocktail menu was very interesting. These guys and gals know their stuff.
There were still customers coming as we were leaving after 2 cocktails and a cheese plate.
You’ve got to go!!

The food was great al reasonably priced and I definitely would recommend the whiskey or the wine flights with matching cheese . Went there with my wife and then again with friends loved it both times.
The only slight negative would be having to order twice in the second occasion after waiting half an hour as a staff member forgot to put the order through . But mistakes do happen but ... I’ll definitely go there again
