This property is conected with Danubius Health Spa Resort Thermia Palace and offer a wide range of spa treatments.
I chose the Mirror Bath, Mud Pool and Dry Wrap combination treatment. I must add that I do not suffer from any pains or diseases that might be treated this way, so I cannot comment on its effectiveness.
The Mirror Bath and the Mud Pool are hot water (39 °C) mineral water baths. The Mud Pool is built directly above the spring, so the floor of this pool is, surprise, a thick layer of sulphuric mud. Strictly from a "wellness" point of view, the treatment is very relaxing. It is a pity though that the total length of this duration is only about an hour. I feel it should at least be 90 minutes to really let the relaxation do its work. On the other hand, the price of 15€ is quite low for Western standards.

The Colonnade Bridge is a bridge over the Vah river in Piestany and it connects the town to the Spa Island. It is the longest covered bridge in Slovakia and a preeminent Functionalist construction with many precious art objects.
This bridge is very beautiful and you should go to the spa area for sure.
The only minus is that there is no life on the bridge. Strangers would appreciate some modern shops with art plus reconstruction of this place.
The view on the city is beautiful. And the swans as well.

The museum comprises a very complete collection of Soviet military aircraft, anti-aircraft missiles, and armor from the years 1945-1991. Highlights of the collection are MiG-29s (one completely restored that allows a climb up to the cockpit) and variants of T-80s.
Limited explanations and almost nobody speaks any English. Not always open. However, if you are in the area and you are into military history, you should go. (It is a six euro taxi ride from the Piesteny hotel area.)?

An exposition dedicated not only to the history of Balneology in Piestany, but also to the history of the region and its economic development since it was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

After a long day in the spa, we decided to have a walk down the little town, this icon statue is located after a 200 minutes from crossing the bridge and at the beginning of the park; there is no much, but definitely will stop you for a look and maybe for a photo.

you get what you expect - a shopping mall. no really luxury brands, though, but a nice grocery, sport equipment etc. if you need quick shopping during your vacation, this is one of the places in the very city (hypermarket tesco is in the outskirts).
avoid eating there, though - the food in all the aupark bistros and restaurants is nothing you would put in your mouth even after a feast. there is plenty eatimg places around in the city, and in the spa complex.
