Not very distant from the nearest town, tourist huts are available though the food is dodgy.
Try and arrange to have food at the PSEB rest house, where delicious food is available and rooms are also available for stay.
Photography is not allowed, and you need to deposit cameras and phones at the main gate; be ready for a thorough search of your vehicle.

It was accident that we tripped to Nurpur Fort, a very small and quite place, ASI has done a great job to keep the place CLEAN and well maintained. Two temples, beautiful lawns and nice open view of Dholadhar ridges it is a place to send an autumn afternoon, a good picnic spot. Just keep it clean. School inside fort too is a wonderful touch.

This is one of the best temple I have been to. It carries a great historic value. There are two stone one represent shiva and other parvati. During winter they two stone connect with each other automatically and during winter are separated by themselves. Temple campus is nicely made. View from the temple campus are also good there ia a lot of greenery is the surrounding

This was a Fort of historic significance but little now remains. A small section of the outer wall is there, a part of the Tower that you can climb and then some views of the River. There is a small Temple in the grounds but the Fort has little to it - go to Nurpur instead and be impressed.

If you an engineer with a keen interest to understand dam and canal design process, you must visit the station. It is a research station and not a tourist place. You will have to go and see for yourself and understand. We were a family group with four engineers (3 were directly working in hydraulics, so a direct interest).
Search “DIPR Punjab” on google maps for location. It is right next to police commissioner office.

A nice temple located at a village Nagni in Himachal Pradesh close to the town of Nurpur. As per local folklore the deity here has the power to cure people that have had a snake bite. The temple location is also the source of a small stream. My home town is close by and I make it a point to visit here whenever I am on vacation. I love the peaceful atmosphere here and do spend some time here every time.
One can see many devotees and at times people with snakebites worshipping here. While I do not or cannot vouch for the authenticity of the belief, it is a fact that many people still throng the place in search of miracle healing. The temple has grown many times over the past two decades and so have the number of pilgrims. The surroundings are lovely with some nice mango and litchi Gardens. Overall a nice temple that still retains the old world charm and is not yet spoiled by the commercialisation bug.
