Founder & head brewer Colin Brown started life with T&R Theakston and James Shipstone & Sons so this is proper, high grade, traditional cask beer. Quite rightly this is one of the East Midlands’ better micro-breweries. There's a good range of fresh well-kept real ale to choose from including the delightful Whipling Golden Ale @3.6% & the Best Bitter Beaver Ale @4.3%. We visited early one Saturday night but it was absolutely lifeless.
The food looked good value and hopefully it gets a bit more atmospheric on other days/times! Brewery tours bookable. The walls are adorned with some truly awesome historical brewing and pub memorabilia. I'm going to give it another try as the beer is exceptional.

Twinlakes Theme Park has endless adventures of family fun packed with variety, adventure and fun for every member of your family. Twin Lakes is The East Midland's No.1 all action, family tourist attraction, providing great days out, hunge indoor play barns, outdoor adventures and a splashtastic Water Park!!
We had a family day out here on a damp March day with two youngsters aged 6 and 2 and for this age group it was great. I had read previous reviews and was a little nervous but yes this little Apple is a bit shabby at the edges but the core is sound and the kids loved it. Let’s be fair that’s why we came.
If you’re expecting Alton Towers or Legoland then go there but if you want somewhere your little ones can enjoy and play happily then this fits the bill nicely. We had great fun outside playing on go carts but when the showers came we went in to the soft play area for a while. The piano was genius a simple thing kept them amused for ages. Then back out to see the animals lambs ponies baby goats meerkats what’s not to like.
If your children or grandchildren are like mine and just want to play then fetch them here.

Just outside the town centre, to the north is this lovely stretch of greenery with ponds, play areas, birds and allotments. It's a great mixture of a peaceful area, an activity/sports/play area, horiticulture and exercise. It has two well equipped, and well used childrens play areas, and a small, but adequate cafe / toilet block.
Brilliant.

Glastonbudget was so much fun. We camped with friends for three nights. The bands were great, music across all genres. Elvis really got the crowd going from the beginning, Queen took a couple of songs then the crowd really got into them. Plenty of variety of food stalls and beer. As is the usual, toilet facilities left a little to be desire by the end of the day, however all fresh by the next morning. Fab attraction to attend with the family, age not relevant

The museum now features a state-of-the-art gallery, study area and community space for museum activities, schools, volunteers and community groups.Exhibits include; Archaeology, Archives, Decorative and Applied Art, Fine Art, Fox Hunting, Natural Sciences, Sports, Personalities and Social History
A nice little museum with bits and pieces about cheese making and of course pork pies. My problem with the place was that there was too much pro foxhunting memorabilia, I understand it is part of the towns history but NOT what it is world famous for!

My mother-in-law was married to her husband in this church on the 11th of June, 1953. Nine years later, they immigrated to Australia (in 1962).
Today is 12th June 2017, and we took my mother-in-law back to visit St Mary's this morning (regrettably, her husband passed away 9 years ago).
Unfortunately, the Church is undergoing repairs and refurbishments, so we couldn't go in, and it's hard to avoid the scaffolding in photographs.
But it is still impressive, and it is good to know that it is being looked after.

We spent the most enjoyable, entertaining evening at the Frankie Valli "Let's hang on" tribute act. The theatre is intimate, the sound quality superb and the Seating comfortable and roomy. The staff are extremely welcoming and obliging. We will most definitely be booking for future Concerts and events here.

This park is well kept apart from needing repairs to a couple of rubbish bins...We found it daily clean ,tidy, and well used..old fashioned refreshment area. But good cups of tea..plenty for younger people with terrific skate park up one end, and two separate areas of swings etc including outdoor workout type equipment . Well cut grassed area and wild garden with small lake a river runs along side. And all with no signs of bad behaviour from dogs or humans..ALSO the nice little town is only five mins walk from Park past the church ..The Pie shop is worth a visit to buy the genuine pork pie. The markets worth a look. But we found the museum a little boring, could be better..But it is free.and give info on the area and hunting! Friendly area ....We stayed at Parkview Holiday apartment right nr park Dalby Road..beautiful apartment...nice and handy ...

Wilton Park has a Car Park and is a short 5min walk from Melton Town Centre, several outdoor things to do for all ages including Table Tennis, Gymnasium equipment , Tennis, 5 a side Soccer, crazy golf, a café serves snacks and drinks, public toilets, kids play area and only a walk over the bridge/river to Platy Close.
The facility is run by a charity so all the money goes towards it's upkeep
