We motored out of Marina di Scario and followed the coastline to Infreschi, a beautiful cove with laid moorings and azure blue water. There are small Beaches and a large cave which small boats were backing into but fresh, cold water was coming out of the cave. We arrived early, had a swim and finally had an early lunch.
Then it began to get busy, so we continued on to Marina di Camerota. We did not see any facilities on the shore, for boats the moorings are great , otherwise anchor in ten meters of water.

After Reading many reviews on here, we decided to drive to find this amazing beach.
Sadly we couldn't find it by car using maps, sat mac etc. and drove around the hills in many directions to try and find it. Sadly we didn't
It would be nice to have known that it is best to access by boat from Marina di Camerota!!! Unless we missed a road somewhere!
But we enjoyed the beach with our 4 boys at the marina di Camerota instead.

We went there by car. It was an adventure! Real off-roads, maybe not so far as long time to drive but finally we get there. Navigation pint here on trip adviser is not correct, I found it on google maps.
However place is awesome! After you park your car you have to go down the steep walk to get to the beach. Down there at the bay you can have a beach time and then go up and have a drink or some snack at home-pub in the middle of nowhere and grape fields with stunning sea views and wild Italy! It was a fantastic experience!
We were in May afternoon it was to late to have sunbath as the sun was turned away behind the Mountains despite that it is west coast, so probably better to go there in the first part of the day (in May).

It's a very nice beach but the beach is taken over by umbrellas belonging to different resorts. They are so close to one another that it's like a carpet and you can smell the other people's sweat.
It's probably better in June or September, but what do they do? Do they remove the umbrellas? I swear, you are on the beach and it feels like you are in London's underground!

My experience was absolutely the best on the Camerota Coast: the environment is warm and welcoming, the beach gorgeous and the view breathtaking. Good service, delicious food. A "must go" for your next trip to Cilento.

The cave of the Cala collects in its interior testimonies of the presence of the man of Neanderthal and of more modern men who have succeeded between 30,000 and 10,000 years ago
