Delectable dim sum, floating islands, and a one-of-a-kind skyline are just some of Hong Kong’s unique features. Get an eyeful of traditional Chinese architecture in Ngong Ping village, then take the tram to the tippity-top of Victoria Peak for unparalleled views. The rocks and gentle hills of Nan Lian Garden will bring you inner peace, as will a calming cup of tea in a Stanley café. Become one with everything at the Chi Lin Nunnery, a serene Buddhist complex.

8pm - though be there earlier to get a seat. Whether on the Kowloon or Hong Kong Island side, the light show is actually a nice excuse to stay out with the kids. Advertising, laser lights and decorative lights make for quite a display and are the reason for evening cruises off Hong Kong.

The iconic Hong Kong Star Ferry is a must for tourists.
There is plenty of history and on a nice day the view is fantastic of both sides of the harbour. Several years ago they moved the pier in Central so unfortunately now it is a little far from Central itself so fewer locals use it in their daily commutes.
If you are going to take it, I recommend the upstairs tickets. They cost a tiny bit more money. Downstairs is special too, as you are closer to the engine room and the bridge and these are interesting but you also also closer to the diesel fumes and the view of HK itself isn’t as good.
When grabbing a seat upstairs, flip the back of the bench so that you are facing the correct direction. So many tourists don’t then wonder why they are traveling backwards!
Also think about which side of the boat you want to be on for photos and enjoy the ride!

Since 1904, trams have been running from East to West of Hong Kong Island. Over the last century, Hong Kong Tramways witnessed the development of Hong Kong, and the tram remains an efficient and the most economical mode of public transport in Hong Kong. Today, Hong Kong Tramways owns and operates a fleet of 163 tramcars, including 2 antique tramcars, carrying a daily average of 230,000 passengers. It is the world's largest fleet of double-deck tramcars still in service.
Another "must do". You can't miss them. If you have an Octopus card, you can just hop on and off, and move along the length of Hong Kong island. Also the best way to reach the horse races in Happy Valley.

This site has a little bit for everyone. Thrilling cable car ride up, picturesque (if artificial) quant village, beautiful monastery/temple, namesake majestic Buddha and hiking trails. It is a great half day excursion. Very easy to get to on MTR, take the crystal cabin on the way up to beat the lines and enjoy the view.

Hong Kong's number one tourist destination features the Peak Tower and the Peak Tram, the city's oldest mode of public transport.
If the weather is clear this is an awesome place to see the city from the top. To go by tram recommend to start early to avoid long line ups or alternatively take the bus to the top which also offers some additional nice view points along the ride through the city and up the Peak road. You can then go down by tram to experience it with a lot less wait.

Grand Opening: September 12, 2005
It’s expanded a lot since I visited 5 years ago but mainly a lot of experiences and eating spots. The weather was hot and the food was so-so but the kids still had a good time going on all the rides from tweens To young kids. There is a lot of walking from one end to the other made a little more inconvenient because it’s so far and fantasyland castle is closed. Would warn people not to buy any food outside the park even though it looks like a Disneyland sanctioned store with people wearing Disneyland clothes. Because you won’t be allowed into the park.

One of the world's most beautiful theme parks and ranked as the 7th most popular theme parks in the world by Forbes - the home-grown destination includes an iconic Marine Land, Amazing Asian Animals (giant pandas, red pandas, asian otters, etc.), and cable cars as well as state-of-the-art, world-class facilities such as Polar Adventure, Thrill Mountain, and Aqua City.
We had a wonderful time at the Ocean Park. Not as crowded as Disneyland, and many rides attractions for younger kids. Loved that my daughter managed her first glimpse of a panda here. And we enjoyed the other wildlife and marine life as well. The big aquarium was fantastic.
Of course the best part of the entire visit was the cable car ride. Stunning views from up there. Food was easily available and not too expensive.
Overall a very enjoyable visit with the family.
