Muboma Fire Museum has nothing to do with Alcoy Walking Tour on the Modernist Rout. MUBOMA is the first firefighters museum in the Valencian Community and aims to show the importance of this profession. By visiting the different rooms and looking into the glass cabinets, visitors can see some of the tools and technical and human resources that have enabled the development of this profession over time. The museum is structured thematically. Visitors are guided through a new and interactive space which includes a number of audiovisuals, texts and panels grouped by themes, from the birth and evolution of the industry in Alcoy, to its link with the origin and development of the firefighter profession. During your visit to the MUBOMA you will be able to see the material elements that enable firefighters to do their jobs. You will learn about the different methods for putting out fires, the importance of fire and water and the evolution of the tools that make this profession possible.

This is somewhat similar to Valencia´s "ateneo". It is a beautiful building and the rooms are still in use. We especially liked the library...just beautiful. After our visit, we had lunch in "La Gruta", which is located on the same grounds...just great! Worth the visit when in Alcoy!

The renovated Museum of the Festa Alcoià contribution involves cutting edge of St. George Association to maintain the traditions alive and essences of the Moors and Christians, using the most advanced technologies. An educational and entertaining stroll through memory and history of a people.
With Alcoy holding the oldest Moors & Christians festival, this is definitely the place to visit to gain a whole experience whilst not actually seeing the event live yet. The history is explained before you get to see all the individuals costumes through the years that have been collected. They are amazing to see. Unfortunately for us there was no English translator available, good job we went with friends...

Like many churches in Spain looked lovely from the outside. However it does not prepare you for the interior, stunning architecture with brightly coloured murals and painting adorn the inside. We spent half an hour walking open mouthed enjoying this little gem.
This church is well worth a visit so make sure you arrive when it is open to soak up it's splendour.

Loads of interesting artifacts and information about the local area. We were the only people visiting and the gentleman looking after the place was itching to show us around. We spent a very pleasant 45 mins being guided around and found out so much more than if we had walked around ourselves.
