The only Church in Denmark - "The Church of Our Lady" - have 5 towers an a long and interesting history. Built in beginning of 1200 century, by Ingeborg, daughter of Kalundborg's founder, Esbern Snare. The middle center tower collapsed in 1827 and where rebuilt 1917-1921.
Absolutely worth a visit. The Church is nearby the city museum and the ruins of Kalundborg Castle so there is plenty of history here.

The largest vineyard in Denmark is located on the beautiful Rosnaes peninsula, just a few miles from the lovely old town, Kalundborg on the west coast of Zealand.
The wine fields are spread out on hilly slopes overlooking stunning Kalundborg Fjord, and the views are breathtaking.
After a good walk in the fields and along the coast (and maybe on the beach) it is time to visit the farm shop where you can taste and buy their great wines (the sparkling, white and rosé are all a must!!), their liqueurs and their schnapps - and other local produce.
An ideal visit - just a good hour from Copenhagen - that will show tourists (and Danes) a new side of Denmark!

Kalundborg Museum

Reviewed By Nowthensister - Kingston-upon-Hull, United Kingdom

We visited Kalundborg on Pentecost Sunday and found most of it shut. The museum however was welcoming visitors with open arms. A small attraction ( for a small town), gave insight into the history of the town and the area. There were no interactive exhibits just a lot of models in various costumes, old farming and fishing equipment and old carriages. There was a pretty courtyard where ice creams could be bought and the obligatory shop selling locally produced crafts. The Gardens were small but pretty with a view over the town out to the sea and a model of the town. Overall a place to while away an hour or so so with a very warm and friendly welcome.
