Welcome to The Madras Restaurant, an award winning restaurant of 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 & also 2017 by Trip-Advisor. We offer Bangladeshi & Indian cuisine cooked using the best quality & freshest ingredient to give you the taste of home. As a beautiful yet cosy 80 seater restaurant, situated on Anlaby Road close to KC Stadium, Hull Paragon Station and also the Hull Royal Infirmary, we're definitely a long ride away from Bangladesh or India.
Encouraged by some positive reviews we had a meal for 4 from the takeaway menu instead of from our regular restaurant.
The food was average but what was immediately obvious was the portion sizes which were only half as big as we are used to as they use small containers and don't fill them.
Clean plates all round but had to rustle up a cheese board to finish up.

Four of us visited again last night. We ordered King Prawn Agni, Lamb Naga curry, Noorjahani Fish, Masalla Fish with chapattis, Nan breads, lemon rice and two side dishes - tarka dhal and Bombay potato. The food was delicious and the service excellent. We’ve been many times and it is our favourite restaurant in Hull. The bill, including four cobras and a bottle of wine, came to £100 - excellent value for an excellent meal

This is the central hub page for The Hull Pie. Our flagship store in Trinity is now closed as we seek a new premise in the City Centre, but you can find us at 202 Newland Avenue, 408 on Cottingham Road or our blue hut outside St.Stephens Shopping Centre.
i use the place on Newland ave and occasionally in town almost weekly. there are a number of different flavours and crucially 3-4 veggie options. food always arrives quickly. adding mash and pies does not bust the wallet

Established in 1993, a family-run Indian Restaurant serving generations of customers. We offer both eat in and Delivery service and specialise on Indian & Bangladeshi cuisine. We do offer small selection of English dishes for kids. We have cosy booth tables for a romantic meal and we can cater for larger groups (preferably booked). We have a full bar license and have selection of wine that compliment spicy dishes. Our 'go to' choice for those who fancy great value is our £13.50 "5 Course Meal Offer". We have on street parking and secure parking across the road (McDonald square). Feel free to call us for any enquires either by call or email.
First time we have used this restaurant and opted for it to be delivered . We ordered the tandoori chicken tikka masala, it was very very mild and the chicken was chewy , the chips were nice not greasy . The order took 1hr 30 mins to arrive ordered early eve .

Called again for lunch last Saturday, the place was extremely busy but was not waiting to long for a table, they seem to have a good system in place here, as soon as a customer leaves a table an assistant is over to thoroughly clean and prepare for the next customers, this is carried out with precision unless a customer try's to take charge by trying to move in before the table can be cleaned.
We were quickly shown to a table and ordered drinks and lunch, the drinks arrived very quickly, a perfect pot of tea. By the time we had our first cuppa the lunch arrived,
we both ordered the quiche with salad. The quiche was delicious, the salad was very fresh, just perfect as it always is.
Great food, great service, excellent value for money.
No were else in Hull comes any were near this place, I've tried them all, Hamonds, Debenham's and the pubs.
Looking forward to lunch next week.
Well done boys

We would like to welcome you to our Country family run pub. We pride ourselves on being traditional and serving our homemade meals and serving local hand pull ales. We are located half way on the historical Hull to Hornsea Railway tract. The Track is now a very popular cycle track for all abilities. The track is actually a section of the larger more well known 'Coast to Coast' Trans Pennine way were individuals take on the challenge of cycling from Hornsea to South Port totalling 215miles.
Lovely food and service glad we visited ! Very busy at lunch time but it did get a bit quieter by 2pm

This is my 5th or so visit to the Punch for carvery Sunday lunch. I hadn't been in a while and wondered if it was still as good as it had previously been. I need not have worried. The carvery was extremely busy but the servers and chefs were really up to the task. I had roast beef and all the trimmings . Fresh vegetable, lovely roast potatoes and home made Yorkshire pudding. All in all it was a delight. A great place to eat.

We serve homemade, locally sourced (where possible), quality British traditional pub food. We have a separate restaurant for formal dining & a large bar for a more relaxed service. We aim to provide the best Sunday carvery in the area, please let us know if we are achieving this. Families are welcome.
We visited the camerton on Sunday evening for a mothers day meal there was 11 of us. The staff couldn't be more helpful as we had 2 babies with us. The portions where huge and the adults food was lovely, however the children's chicken goujons where over cooked and dry and the halloumi came out with no salad or dip. After it taking so long for our food to come out and us finishing it we where then told that we could not order desert as we only had 10 minutes of our 2 hour time slot left. This was through no fault of our own and although I cannot fault the food I will not be returning x

Solo's music cafe is great. I can't recommend it enough.
The food is wonderful. It is tasty and very well presented. I can personally recommend their Lasagne and the Cajun Chicken.
Frank, Fran and their staff work extremely hard, and still manage to make you feel so welcome.
Entertainment while you eat and beyond. Brilliant.

Staff and atmosphere are fine. Had a well cooked piece of haddock, ruined by being served on a cold plate (so the fish was cold after 2 minutes), mash with so many hard lumps that they were more like crushed potatoes, and no peas, which were supposed to be part of the dish. Wife's shepards pie was mainly potato, with very little mince. Overall, very pricey for pub food of a poor standard.
