Go early!!!!! As early as possible. We came back down around 10:30-11ish and the que was unbelievable!! We got up straight away with hardly any waiting around 9:30. The views are amazing but definable wait for a clear day. Definitely look at getting the z ticket if doing a couple of other things in the area, can save lots of money! Building work when we were there however didnt ruin the views.

This is an entertaning walk for all but is geared up for children to explore the Waterfalls and river and it's wildlife. Easy walking about 6km/4miles with easy challenges every .5 km. A good safe trip when it's a bit murky on the hills.

We spent two separate half days here swimming with our small children ages 2 and 3. There were 3 different pools: small paddling pool with slope and water spray, medium pool with slide and 1/2 meter deep and floating toys, and a large pool. There is also a 3 story high spiral slide that was a lot of fun.
We were able to change easily in the locker rooms and lock our bags away in the lockers. There was plenty of Seating to watch the kids swim. They enjoyed all the pools and large slide (with us). We spent roughly 2.5 hours there. We brought our lunches and ate in the cafe area next to the pool. There is a cafe available to purchase food as well as vending machines. Towels can be rented and deposit returned when you leave.
The facilities were clean and friendly. Make sure to use cash as they do not accept cards.
We went later in the season and there were very few people there. I imagine during peak season it is rather busy.

This beautiful ski resort is located directly at the foot of the Zugspitze in Tyrol. The top maintained pistes in all difficulty levels offer skiing fun from beginners to advanced skiers. All 23 kilometers of slopes can be artificially snowed. Two runs are FIS certified. For children there is a magic carpet, beginner's lift and the "Confetti-Alm" on the sunny "Sonnenhang". The more advanced parts of the ski resort can be reached with the child-safe 6-seater chairlift. Directly on the slopes of the ski resort are five cozy huts and restaurants. Free parking is available at the ski area, which is directly accessible from the village center.

On the day you visit the summit of the Zugspitze, do not forget to visit the museum. It is on the Austrian side of the building complex and opened for the first time in May 2005. The entrance fee for the museum is included in the ticket price for the Zugspitzbahn (coming from Germany) or the Tyrolean Zugspitze Cable Car (coming from Ehrwald in Austria).
It is really a “Must Go” while being up there! They have a small cinema, the “Bahnbau Kino”, where they show a short film about the construction of the cable carand the great fire in 2003. And there is a 3D show.
But the real highlight for me was the view from the Panorama window with the glass bottom. I think we spent an hour here, enjoying the amazing sights and trying to get the photos right. I have to admit that we were very lucky with the weather.
There are some beautiful, old advertising boards on display and an old, but original gondola from the first cable car from 1964.
Great place!
