The beaches are a huge draw, but there’s so much more to do in this Malaysian hotspot. Frolic with the delicate residents of a butterfly farm, then explore the fragrant landscape of tropical spice garden and fruit farms. The massive collection of dolls, games and models at the Toy Museum brings joy to kids and kids at heart. Save some energy for the Night Market, a lively scene of stalls where good-natured bargaining skills come in handy.

Adventure Zone is a 10,000-square-foot facility comprising of a comprehensive indoor playground with three categories of drop slides and multiple sections of modular play equipment. The main highlight will be the drop slides, which have proven to be extremely safe and offer high level of enjoyment for both children and adults.
The main attraction is the slides, which come in 3 levels of difficulty.. the red and blue slides seemed daunting for younger ones, but the older kids will have an adrenalin rush. Remember to bring long sleeves and a pair of socks. Parents must accompany the kids but there are chairs for bored parents to sit on.

We had a great tour. Our guide Danny was amazing: he told us so many interesting info about fruits, trees and essences. Not to mention his kindness! After the tour we visited the store where it's possible to experience different tastes. Buying is not mandatory...MoreThank you very much for your appreciation on the farm tour and all the facilities available in The farm and as for the products it is all hand made and only in the farm. Thanks again and please tell your Friend about us,.

The TeddyVille Museum is also the abode of Mini Penang, where miniature bears are dressed and placed in small sets that represent the many attractions that Penang has to offer. It is a cute and cuddly summary of the sights and experiences you should never miss upon a visit to our delightful island.
This is an interesting and innovative museum using teddy bears to showcase the culture and history of the island. I read the latest reviews with trepidation as we had booked a holiday here!
The beach looks lovely, haven't noticed rubbish or debris lying around but there is a slight smell and the water is grey. You are warned of jellyfish but I have seen people swimming.
Thankfully our hotel has beautiful grounds and pools so it's not really an issue.

Not a very entertaining place. We did however find a quaint little stall in one of the alleys, near Bora Bora cafe that sold customized keychains and passport holders.
For RM28, you can get a passport holder customized with your name and add little trinkets to it. They make fantastic gifts for family and friends.
Apart from that stall, everyone sells similar stuff.

This is one of these stores that runs the gamut from standard tourist fare all the way up to some very fine and expensive art. It is quite vast and has all different kinds of work. I found some interesting carved wood and carbon items that I hadn't seen elsewhere. No doubt the prices are fixed and higher than on the street, but judging money for value is pretty subjective and difficult. I was satisfied to pay the asking price for my purchases.

This Batu Ferringhi River with its many Waterfalls is located in Batu Ferringhi and the entrance is across the road from Bayview beach Hotel. We had been coming here since our young days and that was our favourite getaway. The water flowing down here is the runoff from the Batu Ferringhi Dam. Hiking trails here lead to Teluk Bahang, Balik Pulau, Western Hill - Botanical Gardens and Penang Hill. During our Girl Guides and Ranger days, we had ventured and explored all the trails together with the Boy Scouts and Rovers. The Waterfalls were bigger then as water was more abundant. Now runoff has been tapped and redirected to the many farms along its banks. Still it is a nice getaway to spend a couple of hours with Mother nature.
