I with family have darshan at Srikalahasti Temple on 12th march 2018. Srikalahasti Temple located 31 KM away from Tirupati can be reached from Chennai within two and half hours by road and the distance is 146 KM.Performing Rahu Kala Dosha parihara pooja is the importance which can be performed by ourselves under the guidance of temple priests. The ticket rates for this pooja vary only for the Seating facilities provided as the pooja remains the same for all. Temple priest announces during pooja that their is no need of leaving the clothes weared during the pooja in the temple premises which was a belief practiced. No good restaurants around the temple premises but standard accommodations available like devasthanams good guest houses and star hotels.Temple inside is of great religious and architectural importance.

Steep climb of 258 steps from the walkway which is 53steps from the road level take you to the top. The climb offers you lovely and interesting views of the Shiva Temple, River Swarnamukhi and the town. The walkway is dotted with Nadaswara and Tavil artists practicing different compositions in different ragas at the same time. The temple is tiny and lovely with a statue of Kannapa and Shiva in the temple.

Sahasra Linga Temple is located at a distance of 8 Kms from Srikalahasti, on the banks of the river Swarnamukhi. Situated amidst forest, has a beautiful backdrop and our hearts are filled with great sense of devotion.
The Sahasra (meaning thousand) Lingas are carved from the same Idol (Stone)..That is to say that all the Sahasra Lingas are within a single stone. The is open from 7.30 AM to 6.00 PM every day of the week. Local transport from Srikalahasti is available.
Devotees who come to Srikalahasti, generally miss this temple. But once we are there, we like the nature and the atmosphere. . Our visit to this temple was worth spending time and we are happy that this time we made it.

After visiting Srikalahasti temple, thought of visiting near by places. From internet, I got to know that there is Veyilingala Kona Waterfall which is 8 kms from Kalahasti.
Hired an auto for Rs 350/- and on the way to falls we covered two small temples(Kanika and Murugeswara).
Once there we reached there, there is very small temple and some footsteps which takes you to mountain top. Temple was closed for some renovation and heard that temple above the temple is closed for same reason.
Initially we thought that 'Falls' is above the temple, but we had told that it is behind the temple(down). Everyone was deeply disappointed since there is some water coming thru Mountains. The word falls would not suit it.
Roads are not proper, places are poorly maintained. No transport there except auto rickshaws.
Highly avoidable

Having heard about Bharadwaja Theertham, we planned to visit this place. Accordingly, after our Darshan at Srikalahasti, we went to this place and enjoyed the environment.
Tirtham means a pond. This Tirtham is named after the great sage 'Maharshi Bharadwaj' who said to have stayed here.
A gurgling stream of water known as 'Bharadwaja Tirtham' is situated at a distance of about 6 Kms from the main temple. It is well known for its imposing look. This tank houses a beautiful statue of Lord Vinayaka, which makes the environment more pleasure.
This Thapo Vinayaka idol in the middle of the tank is simply MARVELOUS and gives one with a grand impression.
