After introduction to my ski instructor I made my way to the drag lift. ! We had technique lessons during this time and I felt quite pleased with my skiing and did not have any negative feed back ! At the end of the lesson the instructors all had a chat and I was asked if I would move to a lower level as my group was too big ! I was not impressed and after some decision was told that I could stay as another person agreed to go up a class ! I feel that I was most unfairly treated and it ruined my confidence and was unable to complete in the next 2 days Ski School! I paid for a private lesson instead and was praised for my technique ! Zig Zag did contact me and I did explain why I was unhappy but unfortunately was not offered any refund .

La Bourgeoise is an easy, signposted walk from the Col de Joux Plane. The views over the valley and towards Mont Blanc are superb and it's fun to watch the parapenters running off the edge.

As well as having tennis courts, football pitches etc there is pony riding, a driving range over the lake, the acrobranch course and a big air mattress. If you have small children this will keep them occupied for many hours.

You reach this destination from the Joux Plan Car park which is a destination in itself with awesome views, a place to sled, cross country ski or mountain hikes. They have a small rental hut with skis and sleds as well as a restaurant too. A must see if you are in the region.
