St-Cyprien Plage

Reviewed By Pat_Floyd_9 - Norwich, United Kingdom

A large flat beach ideal for families. It's well guarded in the holiday season. Restaurants and cafes are near by for snacks and ice creams. A storm in October 2016 caused some problems with sand moving and exposing rock but they are working hard to restore the beach to its former glory.

We played both the courses on an afternoon. Really good if you fancy doing something which isn't the beach. Was very fun, would definitely recommend.

Jardin Des Plantes

We spent half an hour driving around St. Cyprien to find these Gardens. There are no signs from the Argeles side but eventually we found one at the end of the road approaching from the St.Cyprien side. If you follow signs to Stade les Capellans then you get straight there. Very frustrating!! Gardens are pleasant, paths through the bamboo are good. Red bridge was dominated by a couple having their wedding photos taken for 30 minutes, who asked us and others to move off the bridge. Some sculptures were no longer there or broken. Great that they are free and lovely spots in the sun for a picnic but no cafe/ refreshments available. We went down to the port for a coffee and look at the yachts afterwards.

We paid over £130 euros for a day ticket !followed buy a further 4euros just to park your car .
we then had to hand over even more money for a locker which we had expected but it just felt like more of a con .
The biggest Mickey take was if you wanted to sit down anyway you had to pay a further £4.00 euros for a sun bed ! .
The food halls ,drinks and ice creams were also extremely high priced no real value for money .
We were lucky that we took a picnic otherwise a family of 6 would of set you back almost a further £100 euros with food drinks and ice creams .
A little later I went to leave the park to gain access to my car and they were extremely unhappy for me to do this and told me to hurry up!! And be quick !! .
From start to the end it just felt like you were being ripped off at every turn ,
The park in places was dirty and nurmeous parts of the floor tiles were cracked and broken which wasn't on
Finally although the kids did enjoy there visit they wasn't enough there to spend a full day there ,overall a disappointing visit and a huge dent in our bank account

Eglise Saint-Cyprien-de-Carthage

Reviewed By Pierre G - Toulon, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France

IHS. Maria Sancte Cipriane, ora pro nobis. Te Deum laudamus", soit : "L'an du Seigneur 1603.
A voir.
