Hervey Bay Museum is a wonderful collection of buildings and other exhibits that tell the story of the first settlers in the area, and how they lived. Fun time for my Granddaughter visiting from N.S.W. during school holidays ,I recommend this Wetside Water Park To anyone with children or grandchildren on holiday ,it is so much fun & it's free ,Plus the Wetside café has some lovely meals @ very good prices...More5 Stars! Where else can you walk continuously in the one direction overlooking the ocean, moving in and out of the trees, passing Playgrounds, picnic / barbecue areas, cafes, restaurants, and ice creameries? Not to mention the safe Beaches for miles and miles. For the fitness focussed there's beachfront tennis court, hire bikes & surrey bikes (look it up!) and free exercise equipment.

A small but really nice setup, highlight has to be the Turtle feeding which is at no extra cost and is a really unique experience. Tour of the place was really interesting throughout, with some interesting still exhibits on the walls too. Really impressive place, especially if you like your marine life!
